Same Night: New Mexico
Crater/SHIELD Based Camp
Inside🕊

Thor in a separate room alone, still looking down numb, sitting on a chair.

Both Agent Coulson and Agent AJ Barton standing, interrogating Thor, Coulson states, "You made my men, some of the most highly trained professionals in the world, look like a bunch of minimum wage mall cops. That's hurtful."

(Outfit, The Same As Previous Chapter) AJ questions him, "In my experience it takes someone who's received similar training to do what you did to them. Why don't you tell me where you received your training? Pakistan? Chechnya? Afghanistan?" Thor just sits silently staring ahead, she continues, "You know, you strike me more as the soldier of fortune type. Where was it? South Africa? Certain groups pay very well for a mercenary like you. Who are you?" Thor just looks at her silently.

Coulson tells him, "One way or another we'll find out what we need to know. We're good at that." Both his and hers beeper goes off, "Don't go anywhere." They both leave the room.

As soon as the door closes, Loki appears in front of Thor in the room with modern clothing. Thor looks surprised, "Loki, what are you doing here?"

Loki looks at him, "I had to see you."

Thor asks concerned, "What's happened? Tell me? Is it Jotunheim? Let me explain to father."

Loki tells him, "Father is dead."

Thor in shock, "What?"

Loki looks at him, "You're banishment. The threat of a new war. It was too much for him to bear. You mustn't blame yourself. I know that you loved him. I tried to tell him so, but he wouldn't listen." Thor looks down, a tear goes down his cheek, "So cruel to put the hammer within your reach, knowing that you could never lift it. The burden of the throne has fallen to me now."

Thor forcing to keep his tears in, looks at him, "Can I come home?"

Loki tells him, "The truce with Jotunheim is conditional upon your exile."

Thor still shocked by the new information, "Yes, but... couldn't we find a way to-"

Loki interrupts him, "Your mother has forbidden your return. This is goodbye, brother. I'm so sorry."

Thor shakes his head a bit, "No. I... I am sorry." Looks at Loki sincere, "Thank you for coming here."

Loki tells him, "Farewell." He turns around, lets go of the sympathy look and leaves just as Agent Coulson enters the room again without Agent AJ Barton.

Thor says in the silent, "Goodbye." Loki already gone.

Agent Coulson looks at him confused, "Goodbye? I just got back."

The location where the hammer is, the scientists are back studying the Mjölnir, unnoticed by anyone Loki appears, with his left hand he grabs the handle and tries to pick it up but the hammer does not budge, putting more strength and using both hands, again tries harder to pick it up but it does not move, letting go he looks at it defeated, then looks up at the sky before he looks at the hammer one last time and leaves.

Inside the interrogation, Jasper Sitwell walks in and informs Coulson, "Sir, he has a visitor."

Outside🕊

The people around the base is fixing the damage that Thor did. Erik goes there to bail Thor out. On the stairs above Erik who is standing at the bottom, Agents Phil and AJ stand there looking at him skeptically.

Coulson asks, "His name is Donald Blake?"

Erik corrects, "Doctor Donald Blake."

AJ tells him, "You have dangerous co-workers, Doctor Selvig."

Erik covers, "He was distraught when he found out that you'd taken all of our research. That was years of his life, gone! You can understand how a man can go off like that." Coulson looks at Sitwell who is doing research on the computer, "A big faceless organization like yours, coming in with their Jackbooted thugs and..." AJ gives Erik a serious look, "That's how he put it."

AJ points out, "That still doesn't explain how he managed to tear through our security."

Erik lies again, "Steroids! He's a bit if a fitness nut."

A beep comes from the computer, and Sitwell gets both agents attention, "Sir, ma'am."

Both agents looks at the screen with Thor's picture on Donald Blake's ID card, Coulson points something out, "It says here that he was an MD."

Erik comes up with another lie, "Well, he is! Or he... he was. He switched careers and became a Physicist. A b-b-brilliant Physicist. He's a-he's a wonderful man. He's a man in pain."

Inside: The Interrogation Room

The door opens and Erik comes in, already giving him a look, "Oh, Donny, Donny, Donny." Thor looks up at him, "There you are," Wraps a comforting arm around him and leads him out, "It's gonna be alright, I'm taking you home now."

Outside

Both Thor and Erik walks down the stairs, and turns walking to the exit, Thor secretly takes the two notebooks from the table as he walks by, a voice a little aways behind, stops them. Both go in silent panic for a second.

Coulson calls out to them, "Doctor Selvig, just keep him away from the bars."

Erik relaxes and calls back, "I will." And they start walking again.

Thor asks him, "Where are we going?"

Erik walks ahead of him, "To get a drink."

Coulson looks out at them, orders, "Follow them."

The Town Bar

Both Erik and Thor who has new clothes on, at the bar with drinks in hand. Thor looks at Erik who is sitting on his right, "You know, I had it all backwards. I had it all wrong."

Erik looks at him, "Was that a bad thing, finding out that you don't have all the answers? You start asking the right questions."

Thor confesses, "For the first time in... in my life, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do."

Erik states, "If anyone is ever going to find his way in this world, you have to start by getting it that he doesn't know where the hell he is."

Thor tells him, "Thank you, for what you've done."

Erik quickly says, "Don't thank me. I only did it for Eve. Her father, Jane's father and I taught at University together. He was a good man. He never listened."

Thor tells him, "Neither did I. My father was trying to teach me something. But I was too stupid to see it."

Erik says to him, "I don't know if you're delusional or if you're putting some kind of con. I don't care. Just care about her. I've seen the way she looks at you."

Thor says honestly, "I swear to you, I-I mean her no harm."

Erik looks at him seriously, "Good. In that case, I'll buy you another round. And you leave town tonight." Thor nods his head and Erik turns to a bartender, "Two boiler makers." The bartender puts two big beer glasses on the counter in front of them along with two shots and walks away. Erik immediately pours the two shots in both of the large glasses and they both grabs the glasses and clinks them together before they start chugging them down. While they do the look at each other continuing, challenging each to see who can finish first.
