The Princess That They'd Forgotten

after the war

Years after the mushroom war that destroyed humanity and most of the land, new life spawned.

Some humane and some not. The new spawned life mutated many creatures and gave life to the unexpected.

Who would have predicted that vampires would become real or that a piece of candy could breathe.

Animals spoke words that all could understand. Candy folk were intelligent beyond belief. Insects grew to the size of a full grown man and so much more.

Each species of living creature formed a kingdom and law system of their own with a king, queen, prince, or princess to rule.

The candy kingdom for instance, was ruled by King Jawbreaker and Queen Taffy. They have a son named Prince Gumball.

In the underworld the rulers are Grand Queen Aberdeen and her son Marshall Lee.

The overworld kingdoms mingled peacefully while the underworld was in deep feud with the candy kingdom.

Gumball and Marshall got along fine with one another. Their parents, however were a different story.

But, unbeknownst to any of the kingdoms of Aah; a single human managed to survive the radiation of the war.

The human was an eight year old girl.

She knelt by her former home in an old bunker, grieving for the loss of her family.

They had starved to death, giving the child all the food instead of eating for themselves.

She buried their bodies and set off in hopes of finding more rations and other much needed supplies.

She had travelled for hours until she found another colony of civilization.

She swore she was going mad at the sight of it.

An entire city and humongous castle all made from pure candy, stood before her.

Without hesitation, she entered the sugary Utopia.

A couple banana guards caught her in thoughts of being suspicious, for they had never seen such a creature in their lives.

She was escorted to the castle for questioning by the king and queen.
