Late night texts [Jungkook x Reader]

[Your perspective]

Once you bought the ice cream and water for Jaehyun it was getting very late.

On the way back you wondered why
Jungkook hasn't texted you yet since you didn't feel your phone vibrating. You hastily reached for your butt pocket where your phone was supposed to be but you didn't feel it. You frowned and reached for the other pocket - nothing.

What the shit.

You looked back to check if you dropped it somewhere on the ground. Nothing. You didn't remember pulling it out on your way to the convenience store so it couldn't possibly be somewhere on the ground right? Then you sighed.

Maybe I just left it with Jaehyun. He's probably asleep by now because he looked like he was about to pass out any second anyway. It should be safe with him.

You started walking faster. The alley you were walking trough was dark and creepy.
Only some smoking stranger was around. Once you walked past him your heart began throbbing. You felt his fleeting glance. Suddenly he started walking too. The same way you were going.

Just pass by so I can feel normal again. Please just pass by.

You slowed down on purpose to see if he would walk past but he didn't.

What is his problem. Please don't kidnap me. Please don't kidnap me.

You clenched your fists and bit your lip. That guy was still behind you.

Every time you slowed down he slowed down too. There were no doubts in your opinion. He wanted something. You weren't far from Jaehyun. Everything would be going to be okay, you thought. You sighed loudly, avoiding to look back at all costs.

Should I run? I should run.

You sped up, preparing to run in any second until you felt a hand on your shoulder. He got you.

"What do you want?" Your voice trembled when you asked. He didn't answer.

Hell, this ain't happening right now.

He grasped your shoulder firmly but you managed to violently brush his hand off. Finally some footsteps could be heard in the distance. You took a deep breath and then you abruptly turned around to face him.

He looked like he was in his 40s, addicted to alcohol and drugs and overall he was pathetically ugly. He seemed very surprised when he actually met your eyes.

Without waiting any second you used this chance to save yourself. Not by running away, but by kicking him between his legs with all the power you got. He immediately collapsed on the ground, crying.

That was way too easy.

"That's exactly what you get, perverted scum. And if you'll excuse me, I'll be going now." You sassily turned around -

- only to see a big-eyed Jungkook together with Jaehyun leaning on his shoulder.

"Jesus, that was... awesome." Jungkook stared at the stranger, who was still on the floor, holding his baby-makers.

"H-how did you get here? And when? And why do you know I'm here?" You asked him while struggling not to hyperventilate.
"Had a small talk with your friend over here." Jungkook smirked and pointed at Jaehyun who couldn't keep his eyes open.
"He just told me where you went and thank goodness I just found you like that." He sighed. "Let's call the police?" He suggested. "Uh- Yeah."

After the police arrived, that drug-addict was arrested and Jaehyun was brought back home with the taxi you finally got to spend time with Jungkook. You went to an old playground where you used to hang out often together.

"Damn I wish I could've recorded that kick. It was legendary." Almost more than an hour passed and Jungkook still didn't get over it. Both of you were sitting on the swings. "Geez I was just lucky that this guy was such a lousy douchebag. It could've ended worse y'know." "I would've cried rivers if you'd get kidnapped." Jungkook laughed. But his smile turned into a frown real quick when he mentioned Jaehyun. "Why were you hanging out with that guy anyway? I thought you didn't like people who drink. And besides that he's not even that handsome. Not even more handsome than me." "Oh shut up, I can hang out with anyone I want. I do think he's handsome. And he's funny too." "Not as funny and handsome as me though am I right?" He asked. You laughed. "Of course not.." you mumbled. "Do you like him?" "Hm?" "Like in a romantic way?" "What? No, it's not like that!" You shook your head. "First Jimin and now him? I didn't expect that from you." Jungkook chuckled. "Well, I did have a crush on Jaehyun." You admitted. "Okay, tell me more" he looked at you with an interested look. "Hm.. Well there was that one guy too but I'm only telling if you tell me about your crushes too!" You smiled at him.

"Oh geez, you might not believe me but I had a crush on that girl from the bakery but I don't remember her name... Also IU, Areum and uhm-" He cleared his throat. "I also had a crush on you for some time." He laughed.

You started blushing. "Me? Why? And when?" You asked.

"Pff, i said way too much. It's your turn again." He said.

"Haha, I actually had a crush on you too, Kookster. But that's basically it." Jungkook seemed suprised. "Imagine if we confessed to each other in the right time. Imagine us dating hah." He started wheezing. "Oh am I that bad?" You elbowed his shoulder. "Well you do have a lot of charms. But it'd be so weird don't you think?" "Haha.. Yeah."

I think I just felt my heart shattering.

"Hey."
"Hm?"
"Would you ever think of me as a woman again?"
"Of course."

He chuckled.
