Late night texts [Jungkook x Reader]

27 | siebenundzwanzig | twenty seven

And so they left and you were alone once again. You sighed and thought about what would be going down tonight at the playground. Would Jungkook want to talk about serious stuff or are you just going to hang out like the usual?

You scratched your head and strolled into the bathroom. Jungkooks scent was still in the air and it smelled just like two years ago. He never used any perfume, it's just the unique smell every other person has. His just happened to be a very pleasant one.

You brushed your teeth, spent half an hour with showering, fixed your hair after that and then put some nice clothes on that Jungkook would like. You went all-black with a plain oversized sweater and typical skinny jeans combined with black converse high. You looked at yourself in the mirror.

Not exactly IU but also not that ugly. Just me.

You had a day off and you didn't know what else to do besides getting something to eat and waiting for Jungkook to text you so you just decided to go out and have some fun with some friends for once. 

After breakfast and some texting and asking if someone was free you got invited to a picnic in the citizen park.

When you arrived at the park some classmates welcomed you with open arms even though you have never spoken a word with them. It reeked of soju.

Ah... I regret coming here.

When you approached the crowd a guy immediately came up to you with a glass of soju. "Didn't know there was such a cutie in our class. Wanna have a drink?"

It was one of the popular, pretty handsome guys you even used to have a crush on but his drunk voice and smell of alcohol made him so unattractive.

"Uh, I don't really drink alcohol and I can't handle it well. Sorry." You smiled at him. Okay he's still handsome.
"Awe that's too bad." He chuckled and escorted you to the others. They waved and smiled at you with 'I don't know who she is but I'm just pretending to be nice' written all over their faces. Your friends weren't there yet so you were pretty much on your own - well not completely on your own since your former crush wouldn't leave your side.

"Do you not enjoy being with others like this?" He asked. "Hm, it's alright but I just thought my friends would be here." You sighed and sat down with him on a picnic rug. "Well I can be your friend." He teasingly elbowed you. The sudden skinship suprised you. "Sure." You kept checking your phone for messages but nothing new.

Eventually you and that guy got into a conversation. He may be drunk but he was still funny and nice. While eating chicken and dumplings he would talk and talk and the time passed quickly. The sun was already on its way to go down. You two kinda bonded and your friends never came. But still no message from Jungkook.

Meanwhile Jaehyun, that guy got so drunk he was about to pass out but was still 'sober' enough to talk and tell jokes. When most of the people left you two still hung out at Nakdong river.

"You prooobably have a boyfriend right?" He asked.
"Me? Good one." You laughed. "No I'm serious. You're really cute." He smiled at you. He was definitely anticipating something.

"You know what?" You looked back at him.

"What?" He grinned and slowly moved his hand onto yours.

You quickly pulled your hands back and stood up. "I'm gonna get you some cold water and popsicles to sober up. I'm gonna be right back oppa."

You left him speechless to buy that stuff without noticing your phone slipping out of your butt pocket.
