(Y/N)=Your Name

"That was the cutest thing I have ever witnessed." Jo cooed as you walked out of the school, a bouquet in your arms.

"Too bad it was just a thank you!" Lola frowned.

You looked down and smiled at your feet shyly.

"I want something like that to happen to me... But in a more romantic way." Jo pouted and skipped a little. "And from Johnny."

Your heart almost stopped.

All you wanted to do was tell her that the flowers were from him, but you didn't want her to be upset.

"You can't even get a guy at our school, Jo." Lola teased.

Jo gave Lola her famous death glare.

Those things were scary.
When Jo have you the death glare, you let her win.

"Shut up, Lo." Jo scowled.

Lola rolled her eyes.

That was a bad move.

Jo rolled her eyes and turned her head away, muttering "bitch" under her breath.

Lola must have put her in a bad mood, because she grabbed one of your flowers, smelt it, and threw it on the ground.

"Hey!" You said, whipping your flowers away from her.

"What?" She asked sharply.

"Don't touch these!" You hissed.

Nobody talked back to Jo, but she was being a complete and utter asshole.

Someone had to tell her it was enough.

Jo narrowed her eyes and held her hand out. "I want to read the card." She said, stopping her walking.

You stopped and held onto your bouquet tighter.
That's where the card was.

"No." You said simply.

"Let me read the freaking card." Jo raised her voice.

"Calm down Jo, it's hers." Lola grabbed her arm.

"Screw off, Lola!" Jo whipped her arm out of Lola's grip, then began grabbing at you.

Boy, did it hurt.

Before she could scratch you with her nails one more time, you dashed.

You ran through to the closest door of the school, just missing a bunch of students.

Jo had never tried to do anything like
that to you. She must have been really mad.

Still running, you looked down at your arms.

There were scratches.

Some were red marks, others were red with blood.

You ran past the doors, avoiding everyone in your way.

You stopped at a tree just before the exit, then looked back down at your arm.

Some of the cuts were dripping with blood.

Now they were really stinging.

It was all happening too fast.

Too fast for you to handle.

You leaned against the tree and let tears roll silently down your cheeks.

'Why would she do that?'  You closed your eyes.

"Are.. Are you okay?" A soft voice said from beside you.

You nearly jumped.

Johnny was standing beside you with his hands in the pockets of his jean jacket.

"Yeah, I'm okay." You smiled.

You wanted to thank him for the flowers, but you didn't know if it was him for sure.

"You don't look okay." Johnny held his hand out to help you up.

You took it and stood up.

"I got in a fight with my friends." You shrugged.

Johnny looked at you funny.

"You don't look like the kind of girl to get into fights."

You laughed a little. "No, not a physical fight..."

You heard your name called from a certain blonde girl behind you and a large gasp.

You and Johnny turned around.

"There's the opponent." You whispered.

Jo's eyes looked hurt.

"How could you?" She yelled.

Johnny looked confused.

You knew what was going on.

She liked Johnny and you were with him. You just held his hand. That was enough to burst her bubble.

"It's nothing, Jo. He was just helping-"

"Shut up! I hate you!" Jo stormed off after kicking dirt at you.

You looked down.

Johnny kept his glaring eyes on Jo.

"She isn't a very good friend." Johnny said after a few moments.

"I don't think that we're friends anymore." You looked at your dirt covered skirt.

"It's probably better of that way." Johnny smiled shyly.

You smiled back.

"Come on, I'll help you clean up at my friend Pony's house." He said, turning to the exit.

You hesitated.

You met this boy only two nights ago.

But... You trusted him.

Good enough.

"Alright." You smiled and let him lead the way to his friend's house.
