I woke up a lot earlier than usual and made it to work at five in the morning. Tristan was already there with Pepper saddled up and ready to go. I laughed and jogged over to the arena. I kissed him right away and smiled.

“Good morning. You’re here early,” I noticed. He smiled and picked me up in a hug. I squealed and laughed before he put me down.

“Now hop up there and let’s get to work,” he smiled. A week went by like this. We trained in the morning, I worked during the day, and then I crashed when I got home. Crystal left me alone for the most part. Around Friday, Tristan came over for another family dinner. I was smiling the whole time. I sat quietly next to Tristan. We started to get a little more careless about what we did and where it was. I placed my hand on his thigh under the table during our dinner, but pulled it away when we started eating. Crystal, Dad, and Mom were none the wiser.

After dinner, Tristan “went home”, but after a few minutes, he was coming in through my window. He climbed the tree and crawled in. I laughed quietly and closed the window behind him. I had already gotten dressed for bed in Soffee shorts and a tank top.  I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him deeply. He walked me back until my legs were against the bed. His arms were securely around me waist. With my eyes closed, I moaned softly and tangled my fingers through his hair. I sat on the edge of the bed and crawled back to give Tristan room to hover. Just then, there was a knock on my door. I scrambled and got Tristan to lie out of sight on the other side of my bed. I opened the door a bit to see Crystal. I opened it a little more and she left herself in. She sat at my vanity, still out of sight of Tristan.

“Hi Crys; what’s up?” I asked nonchalantly. She sighed and picked up the brush on the vanity. She started brushing her hair. She sighed and turned to look at me. I crossed my arms over my chest and waited.

“Am I crazy? I feel like… Tristan pays more attention to you than me. Is he even into me anymore?” she asked. I shrugged.

“I don’t know Crys,” I answered. I uncrossed my arms and sat against the edge of my bed. She looked at me curiously.

“Did you lose more weight?” she asked. I blushed and shrugged. Her face went to one of shock.

“Oh my God… you’re still training with Tristan,” she realized. I paused and Crystal jumped on that. “You are! I knew it!” she stood up.

“So what if I am? Why do you care so much?” I raised my voice a bit. My face reddened in anger.

“Because he’s mine!” she yelled. I puffed out a breath and clenched my fists. I resisted the urge to tell her that Tristan was in my room right now. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and relaxed a bit before I spoke again.

“He’s a person, not an object Crys… and maybe you should take the time out to ask him these things instead of questioning me. I’m not your mediator… get out of my room,” I said in a in a low but stern voice. She hesitated before she left, closing the door behind her. I puffed and crossed my arms, sitting on the edge of the bed. I spooked when Tristan sat next to me. I sighed and rested my head on his shoulder. I laughed once.

“My room isn’t such a great place for us to hang out,” I shook my head. He laughed and we stood up.

“I’ll climb down and then help you down,” he smiled. I laughed and nodded. I put a pair of riding clothes in my purse and slipped on my riding boot, along with grabbing my keys just in case. Once he climbed halfway down the tree, I started. We got to the bottom quickly and he held my hand on the way to his car.

Minutes later, we were entering his house. I walked backwards with his hands on my hips until I fell onto the couch. I laughed before my lips became busy. He kissed me deeply before he picked me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist and held onto him. We didn’t break the kiss though. He carried me up the stairs. Once at the top, he pressed me up against the wall before we finally made it to his room. I pulled back and smiled when I felt the bed against my back. I let go of his waist and sighed as I turned over on my side. He laid down next to me and smiled.

“I love you,” he smiled. I smiled and rolled over on him.

“I love you too,” I kissed him. I rolled off and pressed my back against his chest as his arm went around my waist.

“You’re tired. You can sleep here if you want,” he whispered. I mumbled a thanks and drifted off to sleep.
