June 25th 2009.
A day that changed the world forever. We lost someone that meant so much to the world. We lost someone who was a real life angel to everyone around him but the world didn't see him that way.
A couple lost their son. Three children lost their father. 8 siblings lost their brother. A million people lost their idol.
We lost someone talented and precious that just wanted to make the world a better place for all of us. A person who dedicated his life and legacy to making the world a better place.
Michael Jackson was more than an icon. He was a legend and still is to this day. All that he's left behind for us is for all of the world to cherish, love, and connect with. A true king that didn't deserve to have his name be put in a bad place.
He didn't deserve to be called anything harsh that the media portrayed him as. He didn't deserve to have his heart broken and feel alone and depressed, but he still managed to put a smile on anyone around him. His aura one that will never be forgotten.
On Thursday June 25, 2009. Everything changed. I was 8 years old when he passed. I didn't shed a tear because I knew he would be in a better place. I know that he is in a better place where he is safe and happy and looking down at all of us.
And me, I used to write letters to his ranch at 8 years old. I never got a chance to mail them even though I knew he wasn't gonna read it. I kept them and I read over them every year.
We shouldn't just mourn over his departure. We should celebrate the life and legacy of the true King of Pop known as Michael Joseph Jackson. Celebrate that he's in a better place. Celebrate the legacy he left for all of us.
A person is truly gone when we forget about them. We should keep them in our hearts and cherish all of what their life was worth. Fly high.
