XV. dandelion and burdock

[Thalia's POV]
In the days after my first encounter with, the lovely and really rather charming, One Direction, the whole world blew up.
Figuratively.
News articles were documented left right and centre, and I'd received some pretty...interesting messages from some fans, for want of better words.
The autumn leaves of late September were beginning to shed rapidly, and I hadn't spoken to Zayn much.
Dana and I had been spending quality time together, and today was a lazy day in which we spent having girl talk.
"So...I never pictured you with a celebrity." Dana expressed, tucking her feet under her as we sat curled up on a sofa, watching Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging as we talked animatedly.
"I don't think anyone could have." I smiled, sipping my black coffee.
I set it down on the white coffee table in our small, yet cosy, apartment and looked at her.
"Do you think...it's going too fast? Our relationship, I mean. It reminds me of-" I stopped talking, knowing I'd be entering deep, dark territory if I thought of my ex.
Dana glanced at me and her expression softened. She hugged me with one arm. "Hey, don't be sad. Everything's in the past and you can't compare those two. They are so different and there's no such thing as a relationship going too fast." She paused. "If you're afraid that he'll upset you, I'll be at his door step in six-inch heels ready to kick him in the nuts." She reassured, making me laugh but worry in the way only she knew how.
My phone buzzed as I was going to reply. Zayn, of course.
"Hello?" I picked up the call and motioned for Dana to pause the movie.
"Hey, babe. I'm outside your house. Can you let me in?" I heard Zayn's familiar, hauntingly beautiful voice.
"Oh, I don't know. I'm not supposed to answer to strangers," I smiled.
"Miss Harris, it's a known fact that you're drawn to danger." He replied, and I sensed the smirk in his voice. "Now open the door."
My heart thumped as a slow grin spread across my face. I was aware of Dana's careful assessment of my bantering with Zayn, but I didn't care.
"Miss Harris, if you have nothing to add, please let me in. I'm freezing out here." He said quietly, and my ice-heart thawed.
"Sure." I gestured with my hand to the door to Dana and covered the microphone. "Zayn's coming in."
Dana nodded, but looked annoyed about our girly night interruption.
"Oh, um, by the way," Zayn's voice brought me back to the now. "I've brought a few friends...and food."
And as I opened the door, my mouth fell open. Ending the call, I slipped it into the pocket of my wide, pleated black skirt. "Well thanks for inviting yourself over with no warning." I frowned, pursing my lips in annoyance.
Zayn looked so breathtaking, it became difficult to stay mad at him. He pouted and put a finger to my pursed lips. "Don't pout, babe."
He leaned towards me and I closed my eyes, assuming he wanted to kiss me. Instead, he stepped inside my house, followed by his four friends.
"Hey, Thalia." They greeted me, surprising me.
"Zayn didn't tell you we were coming? I thought...you know what, never mind. I hope you don't mind our company." Harry smiled, as if Zayn got on his nerves too.
