"Try focusing harder. Don't drop her", Amity said.

I tried levitating people today. I wanted to start off with someone small so I tried lifting Melissa. Amity saying don't drop her isn't helping me concentrate. I carefully set her down and rubbed my temples.

"Ugh I have a headache now", I complained.

"I warned you this would be exhausting", my mom said.

"Yeah no kidding. Melissa you can go take a break I know lifting you up and setting you down would make you kinda nauseous", I said.

"I'm fine. It looks like you're the one who needs the break", Melissa said.

I took a seat at the table and held my head in my hand.

"Wanna take a break?", my mother asked.

I shook my head no in response. I need to master this so I can at least get Alyssa as far away from me as possible assuming she comes back.

"Come on then let's try this again. I need to master this", I said standing up.

"Maybe you should take a break", Amity suggested.

"No I can do this. I just need a minute", I said.

"So what's this I hear about you trying to take down my mother single handedly?", a familiar voice asked.

I looked over at the doorway and saw Lucas standing there in a pair of blue jeans and a white button up shirt with a pair of black dress shoes. His hair was a little messy, just the way I like it. I didn't hesitate to hug him as tight as I could. Tears rolled down my cheek and he gave me a kiss on my forehead.

"God I missed you so much", he said.

I looked up at him and he wiped my tears away.

"I missed you too", I said.

He pulled me into another tight hug and ran his fingers through my hair. Everything felt okay now. I feel like there's no problem with Alyssa and Michael. With him, my world is perfect.

I'm not sure how long we stood there hugging but we pulled apart when we heard someone clear their throat. Lucas let me go and I walked over the doorway and found Alyssa and Michael standing there with smirks on their faces. I heard light footsteps and immediately knew it was Melissa coming being me.

"See Michael, doesn't she look like her mother?", Alyssa asked.

"Oh yes she does. You wouldn't even know she's a vampire", Michael said.

"Leave my daughter out of this", I sneered.

"I still don't even see how she was conceived. Last time I checked vampires can't have children. Tell us Morgan. How did you conceive her?", Michael asked.

"That's none of your business", Lucas said.

"Oh it looks like Lucas came back after all", Alyssa said sarcastically.

"Yeah after looking for you. Mind telling us where you were?", I asked.

"I was all around. I know how to cover my tracks honey. After all, I am older than both of you", she replied laughing.

"Well mother, we should leave now. Looks like little Lucas here is about to snap and tear us to shreds. Like he can anyway", Michael glanced at Lucas. "You may be older but I'm stronger and faster than you will ever be. Word has it you hardly ever use your powers anymore. Heck I've heard that you aren't even as ruthless as you were before you even met Morgan", Michael commented.

"Oh come on Michael don't be like that. Maybe marrying her and having that child has made him weak and powerless", Alyssa added.

I grabbed Lucas's hand and squeezed his hand. He held mine in return and I turned to Melissa. I let go of his hand and looked at Melissa and crouched down to her level.

"Melissa I need you to go with grandma and grandpa okay?", I asked only low enough so she could hear.

Thankfully she didn't ask any questions and teleported away. I glared at both Alyssa and Michael.

"Stay away from us. From what I'm concerned, you're not even apart of this family anymore", Lucas said.

"I'm still your mother no matter what", Alyssa said with anger evident on her face.

"No you're not. You don't mean anything to me. You didn't come to my wedding, you weren't there for Melissa's birth, never came to visit for the holidays, didn't bother to show up for my coronation. You were never there for me. From now on I no longer have a mother".
