My eyes shoot open as I sit up quickly, taking deep breaths and looking around the room to see if Pj had heard my possible screaming I could of done while I was asleep.

Thankfully, he was sound asleep. His right arm lays across his forehead as his left arm is dangling off the bed, as well as his left leg.

I slowly get out of bed, being sure not to make any noises that'll wake him.

I reach my door and open it, sliding out and then closing it back softly. Turning around I see that the room is dark except for a small light that is shining through the cracks below the kitchen door.

I curiously open the door and peek inside to see Cat. She is slouched on a chair, her legs propped up on the table, reading a book.

Clearing my throat, I awkwardly walk over to her and sit down. I don't say anything as I sit there and neither does she.

She seems to be so engrossed in the book that she still hasn't noticed me sitting here, looking at her.

"Cat?" I question as I wave one hand in front of her face.

She then grabs my arm, twisting it around for it to be behind me. She leans me against the table, squishing my face into it and bends my arm back causing me to wince it pain.

"Don't ever bother me again when you see I'm obviously doing something." She says in between clenched teeth.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry. Can you just let me go, please?" I mumble.

She let's go of me and I turn towards her to see her smiling.

"Now what was it that you wanted?" She asks, putting her hands on her hips.

Wow. Bipolar much?

"Nothing. I just woke up and saw the light on in here and wanted to know who was awake."

Cat sits down and gestures me to sit down as well.

"I wasn't tired so I decided to explore a bit but they locked all the doors except the one that leads here."

"Oh. I wanted to explore too. That's odd that they would do that though."

"I bet their hiding something." she said with a smirk.

"Maybe."

"Why are you awake then?" she questions.

"Uhm, honestly? I had a bad dream and I don't really want to go back to sleep." I mumble, awkwardly.

"We're gonna be tired as hell during training tomorrow." She laughs.

"Why are you being so nice now?" I blurt out suddenly.

Great. Now I'm gonna get my ass beat.

She looks at me, startled at my sudden question but then quickly goes back to her serious face.

"I'm not as mean as I look to be. I just put up that vibe for people won't get close to me. Lou convinced me to give everyone in here a chance so might as well since we're gonna be stuck up there together, yanno?"

"Yeah. I'm trying to be everyone's friend too. I never really had any friends either so."

"Oh, yeah. You're the dude that was kept in the basement, huh? I would've lost it if I were you."

"Yeah." I laugh, awkwardly, scratching the back of my neck.

"Anyways, I better get in the shower before Lou wakes up. You should do the same. We only got an hour." She said.
