English class ended and I walked to my next class: theater. Katie and Evaline were both in this class with me. We really enjoyed each other's company and loved the class. Mrs. Bluebrick was hilarious and serious when needed. She gave lots of amazing advice and always kept the class interesting. I smiled as I entered the classroom and saw Evaline and Katie wave me over to sit next to them. I smiled and made my way over. "Hi chickas."
"Hi" Katie waved.
"Okay, Corina, please tell Katie she's wrong that Tom Hodgins is NOT attractive."Evaline exasperated.
"Who?" I was not social and really didn't know even half our grade. Evaline groaned and turned to Katie.
"He still is SO not attractive." Evaline turned to the front as the bell rang. I turned to Katie who was smiling and silently laughing. I turned to the front of the room just as Mrs. Buebrick started roll call.
--------------------------
"So, who are you going to do?" I shrugged my shoulders in response to Katie's question. "Oh, come on, you have someone in mind." Mrs. Bluebrick gave us over-the-break assignment to do research on one actress and write an essay on their accomplishments and achievements. Which will most likely lead to another assigment as that's how Mrs. Buebrick usually worked.
"Okay, I do, I was thinking about doing Emma Stone." Who has been my celebrity role model since I could remember. katie nodded like this is what she was expecting. "What about you?"
"I don't know, I figured I'd look someone up and see who has more information. What about you Evaline?" We both turned to Evaline.
"Emma Watson, of course." Did I mention Evaline is also a major Harry Potter Fan?"I got to go, see you later!" We both goodbye to Evanline and continued walking. Next was art which I had with Katie so we both just walked together everyday. As we sat down in our seats we smiled at each other and began sketching the picture on the projecter screen into our sketchbooks.
--------------------------------------------
Katie walked over to me as I was still putting my art supplies into my backpack. "You ready to go?"
"Yep!" She walked with me to my locker and then to lunch. We found our friends and sat down with them. I started eating and listened as they all argued with each other and laughed hysterically at something they found funny. Leslie tapped my shoulder and I looked at her.
"I have some chocolate," She smiled mischeviously, but I completely forgot about it as soon as I heard the word 'chocolate' leave her mouth.
"Really!?" I immediatley straightened in my seat with my eyes wide and excitment pouring out of me.
She smiled even bigger, "nope," I started moping as my friends all laughed. They all knew I had a major obsession over chocolate. Evaline had even seen me cry in my car when my mom told me we didn't have any chocolate at home. "I'm sorry,"Leslie pouted and seemed genuine but still found my reaction funny. "I have some gummi worms, you can have them."
I looked up,"really? You're sure?" She nodded and fetched a small bag of gummi worms from her backpack. She smiled and I grabbed them with a smile. With now a few gummi worms in my stomach the sadness dissipitated and I listened back into the conversation.
"Come on Corina back me up here!" exasperated Evaline.
"On what?"I asked. Evanline sighed and looked at me straight in the eyes.
"No one wants to come to the football game with me!"
"So? Why do you have to go?" My focus was already back to the colorful gummis.
"Because a guy asked me to go with him and he said he'd bring two friends if I brought two friends! I thought they would want to come! It will be fun! Right?"
With only half of my attention still on the conversation I looked at my gummies and mumbled, "yeah, it'll be fun, football games are fun." I pulled another gummi out of the bag and plopped it into my mouth.
"See? Even Corina wants to go!" Evaline looked at the others in hope, Katie seemed on the verge of giving in. This caught my attention.
"Wait, what?" My atttention was now fully back in the conversation.
"You said it would be fun so you want to go right?"
"No, not necessarily..."
"Come on Corina! It's a chance to meet guys!" Evaline knew this would get to me.
"Are they cute?"
Evanlin started smiling,"yes, and super nice too."
"But I don't even know them!"
"This will give you a chance to! Please?" Evanline pulled out the puppy dog eyes.
Before I could give in, the end of lunch bell rang.
