The mirror, no the man, no the illusionist cries loudly and this time I could really see the illusion dying around me. Evaporating into thin air. For real this time. 

The sentinels of light start to seep through the cracks in the dark.

A few seconds later I am greeted by the familiar surroundings of the inside of the bus. Still the same mysterious blue hue of the metal and railing. "You motherfucker!" The bus driver yells.

I look around and my heart just breaks. All the people that I had seen before, all squished into the seats. Some on the floor, just dead. Some missing body parts, some crying until their eyes bled, some holding knifes or chains in their hands.

All yelling for help, their eyes just glazing over me.

They had always been there. I just couldn't see them. And they can't see me.

I look away from the cruel scene to stop myself from crying and try to focus on escaping. I feel like helping them but to be honest, there is no time. It was just me. Most of them are too dead anyway; their souls to damaged to save.

A black figure emerges from the fucking driver's seat but before he can reach for me I have already barelled towards the tiny button that saves my ass.

The door shoots open and I stab the cruel monster behind me, escaping his realm. His realm full of heinous acts, acts that are so strong yet so wrong.

I hit the road, scraping my knee in the process. But I feel alive, relieved. The feeling of the tar underneath me telling me that this is real.

I look back and the bus is not there. It's just gone. Vanished. No trace.

I finally did it. I escaped.
