I'm suddenly acutely aware of many things. Of my surroundings, to be precise. I hear the wind as the broom-tails hit the air, I see the trees from the Forbidden Forest, swirling around in their expansion of leaves. I am so aware of the people sat on the bleachers, I can almost hear their conversation, the small talk shared by the boys and the giggles offered by the girls.
And despite all that, once my eyes lay upon that it all seems to be muffled, as if a big cushion had been stuck over my ears. My heartbeat beamed inside me in such a way I could've sworn my heart was inside my throat. I knew what was happening though; whenever the Quaffle was thrown, I was gone to everyone and everything else.
Lorcan had thrown the crimson colored ball into the air and I flew towards it. A second later my hands secured it against my body and a tiny smile made its way to my face as I felt the it's smooth leather. Meg positioned herself on my right, slightly behind me and so did Krum, but on the other side. Somehow, we synchronized perfectly and flew towards the goals, zig-zagging and dropping a couple meters every now and then. Levi tried to steal the Quaffle once or twice but, after a certain point I started to notice Malfoy and his team were nowhere to be seen.
They new they couldn't take the ball from us, we had made ourselves the first point. Their only chance was with a great beater that could've taken one of us down but this game was only chasers. Unlucky for me, I still possessed the ball when we arrived by the three ring shaped goals and that's when I faced McCall, our house's keeper for the past three years. I knew that no matter what way I tried to shoot it he'd catch it, but it didn't mean I wasn't going to score.
I held the the Quaffle with my right hand high, preparing to shoot. I stopped in midair, which is something I'd never do but it was part of the acting, and threw it weakly above the left goal. He snorted and shrugged, as if he'd known I wasn't going to make it. And although I would have loved to punch his ugly face, I flew forward and rotated around myself to pass in a perfectly straight like through the main ring and dove down to get the falling ball. It took me about three seconds to fiercely throw it from where I stood, behind the rings, towards the actual field. The Keeper of course didn't save it, for he was located on the wrong side, scoring myself my first Quidditch point in Hogwarts.
Naturally, it was the other team's ball but Malfoy sped in my direction. I shifted on top of the broom, confused. "What?" I questioned, has he forgotten that his rings are on the other side of the field? I waited for the answer but instead he raised his eyebrows and faced down, showing me something. I look at the grass, towards the place Malfoy's pointing and my heart forgets to beat for a second or two. My stomach clenches and I groan loudly as I sight McGonagall, crossed armed and looking up right at the entrance.
Minerva reaches for her wand inside her coat and places it's point in one side of her neck, using the megaphone spell. "MS POTTER. DETENTION!" She bellows and walks away fiercely, with the sound of her shoes fading away quickly.
Remember when I said I was fully aware of the people sat on the bleachers? Yeah, same feeling but much worse because as I look up to find Malfoy still beside me, his face is found smeared with his signature grin. "What on Earth is so delightful, Malfoy?" I ask annoyed to death. That thing tries to hide the obvious and yet unbelievable smile but, I guess he isn't that strong, being a jerk is just the way he is. "Well, nothing, I was just happy that I won the bet..." he finally answers and starts to turn around, as if the matter was so boring it didn't deserve his time. The only problem is that no one can tell me I lost, mainly and strictly when I clearly didn't. The game was 1x0 for us when we were interrupted... I WON! What's there that he can't understand? I fly under him and then up, so I'm facing the conceited blond, "I scored. You didn't. I won, you lost", I speak, loudly. As we talk the rest of the players approach us and Meg looks at me, her eyes practically shine with curiosity. "Lil, detention already?" She asks as she moves closer, "She didn't want to lose her bet. So she ditched the director and came to the trials" answered Scorpius, casually. His smirk back at its favorite spot, as always. Meg looks at me as if asking for confirmation, which I nod slightly before coming to a realization. "You git!" I scream, "you knew she was going to call me!" I continue edging closer to him, who seemed not only aware but delighted at our proximity. "Of course I knew. I'm the Slytherin King, what did you expect?" He said jokingly. "You wouldn't have placed the bet if you didn't know I was going to be interrupted! Coward!" I spit, my face heated up, obviously red. "Of course I wouldn't, I know my players extremely well and, just as I had planned, I won the bet. Thanks to McGonagall, of course".
Ok, let's get stuff straight. I might have been an idiot by placing a bet without considering why on Earth he'd do that but the score was clear and obvious and I wasn't going to let him get away with it. "Malfoy, I scored, you didn't. I won!" I spoke exasperated, why can't he just see the freaking obvious reality? "No..." said Meg, surprisingly. I turn my head and widen my eyes, what does she mean? And why is she defending Scorpius? "What?" I ask, clearly lost. "He played before. To choose the Keeper we needed a chaser so... he scored twice..." said my friend and I simply freeze, unable to accept what I just heard. Now I owe that stupid jerk one thing, whatever thing he wants. I know he's looking at me but I refuse to give him the pleasure of vulnerability. He hasn't managed to get me down and he won't manage to get me down. Not now, now ever. Because I am Lilly Luna Potter and if he tells me to clean up all the leaves in the forbidden forest I'll do it, for I have sworn over my name and I'll honor it. And the best part? When it's over, I'll have my revenge.
So once I've got myself together, don't worry it took about two seconds, I face him again and cross my arms, now wearing a perfectly bored face. "What do you want me to do then? Or should I give you time to think?" I spoke but what he answered was nothing I had prepared myself for. He came closer to me ever so slightly that somehow I didn't notice until we were face to face. "I know what I want" he said, "I want you to kiss me".------
