The rise of the royalty

Scorpius Malfoy leaned casually slightly towards me, with his hand on the table a couple inches away from where I sat, my legs crossed, head cocked to the side and curiosity flooding up my body as he continued slowly. "You might just be the love of my life and every other boy that has laid their eyes on you might just feel the same way I do but, you see, there's something really important that I've recently figured out." he sighed, lifting his hand to the back of the neck, like my dad used to do. "I plan to rule Hogwarts," he spat, out of sudden, "I shall be the king of Slytherin and I've been working on my plan for a while. Last year I had to spend clearing up my family's reputation and now, as you might have noticed, I have a clear page to start my reign on". I have my eyebrows raised, is this really happening?

When I was a kid, I used to blabber to everyone how I'd be the ruler of Hogwarts, the one everyone respected, envied, loved and cherished, for life without uttermost success wasn't worth living. My mum would nod her head and be glad her daughter was a bit of a bad ass, not a prince-seeking spoiled teen. Daddy never liked these kinds of thoughts, he preferred when I talked about mischief, or spells and Quidditch.

" But recently I have noticed," Scorpius kept going, drifting my attention away from my nostalgic thoughts. He then stood up fully and paced slowly around the tables. "I can't do it alone. In my castle, as the wealthy and ambitious king there must be a queen. You are the Queen, Lilly" he continues. My jaw drops, how can a human being be so subjective and hypocrite? I thought we weren't talking about "love" or whatsoever... I cross my arms, waiting for further explanation, which he, thankfully for me, provides upon my glare and suspicious position. "And I don't mean it in the romantic kind of relationship expected of a random king and queen, but as in the power handded to the rulers" he continues. I grin, actually agreeing with the words spoken. Finally, I decide to voice my feelings and thoughts but, as he said it, I'm now a queen and when a queen speaks, winds shall be blown, the earth shall move, the waves shall freeze and all sound shall be killed. Dramatic? No, I'm definitely not the kind...
"Farewell. I shall be the your queen as much as you shall be my king. Within our hearts there must be courage as we walk through. There shall be wisdom in every move, kindness with every face and soul, strength, to keep ourselves going, alongside with our beliefs and thoughts. Ambition shall not be forgotten, for that is the force driving us forward. We'll stick together and rule this beautiful castle, filled with talented people, whose energy shall be forever positive."
Malfoy is smirking at me, glaring intensely at my eyes in such a way I'm scared he can read my mind. I take a deep breath, regaining myself after that beautiful speech. "So we are settled" the lean figure before me comes closer, stick out his hand and I grab it, fiercely. "Yes we are" I conclude. "We need a big opening, something that will tattoo ourselves inside the heads of everyone. A big opening..." I voice my thoughts to my new partner in crime, who seems to think for a couple seconds before his face lit up, "the Halloween ball!" Scorpius says, "it's perfect! But...only a week away? Will we have time?" His head turns around, questioningly. I bite my lip, excited, holding back my malicious smirk, " Oh, I think we will..."
