We made our way downstairs, Derek's muscular yet surprisingly soft hand laced in mine. I couldn't deny the feeling of utter bliss at the contact our hands were making. Derek stopped and that made me snap out of my thoughts to see Lydia and Davina smiling as they stood in front of us.
"We didn't know if we were having a beautiful little princess or dashing young prince so we made this shower in split effort". Lydia beamed as her and Davina eyed me thinking I knew the answer.
"What? I asked after about a good minute or two of piercing stares.
"Aren't you going to tell us?" Lydia asked as her and Davina, now Derek, stood awaiting the answer.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you guys but I don't know the sex of my little munchkin". I said more to my belly as I rubbed it soothingly. "Ask Peter, Issac, or Kol". I added as I kept rubbing away.
"W-w-what!? Lydia asked. "How is it they know and not us? She demanded.
"You guys didn't go to my last ultrasound remember? I said looking up into three sets of betrayed eyes.
"Oh right". Davina breathed.
"Anyway". Lydia said. "Let's forget that for now and make our way to the conservatory". She smiled softly as she motioned for us to follow her and Davina.
When we got to the conservatory there were arctic blue and rose pink streamers draped along the ceiling and wall. There was a long table with all my favorite desserts: Nutella stuffed muffins, Oreos, Twix decorated cupcakes, salted caramel and Nutella drizzled cupcakes, a chocolate fountain with marshmallows piled high around its edge with long wooden sticks sticking out of them, a huge cake with a baby boy and baby girl figure atop it each with a gold and silver crown rested on their head, cookies that were circular and frosted with half arctic blue frosting and rose pink frosting, there were even crown shaped cookies that were separately frosted in gold and silver with, in elegant cursive, boy under gold crowns and girl under silver crowns, their was so much more desserts that I felt my mouth water greatly. But that wasn't all as I turned to see on another long table of: pizza, pasta — shrimp and chicken —, Mac and Cheese bites, meatballs on top of melted cheddar cheese — tooth picks poking out of them presumably for picking them up — soft and hard shelled tacos, pastry puffs that, from the looks of it were pizza stuffed pastry puffs, hamburgers, curly fries — my all time favorite food —, pink lemonade, ice tea, and various bottle and cans of sodas, of course I made a mental note to drink and hide the rest of the canned Sprite's. I tried to go for the curly fries but Derek held me closer to him. I glared at him but he only smiled then nodded to the huge banner that sat over the food table. It read: 'Reigning Prince or Princess' it was elegantly scribbled along cotton white paper.
"Wow". Was all I could say.
"That's not it either". Davina smiled as she pointed behind me.
I turned to see two golden chairs propped up against the wall, it's ruby red cushioning patterned with little circle buttons making it into the pattern of diamond shapes.
"Okay this is a little much don't you think Vina? I asked. "I mean I'm not a king nor am I any form of royalty". I added turning back to her.
"On the contrary". Peter said, I turned to see him leaning handsomely against the door frame, his hair neatly messy and black v-neck snugged to his chest finely.
"What? I asked.
"You are Stiles". Derek said smiling down on me.
"And how is that? I asked glancing from Derek to Peter and back to Derek.
"Because of our family". Peter said as he walked to me. "We're one of the oldest werewolf families in the world and history, we were born with the ability to shift fully into werewolves something many cannot do not even as alphas". Peter told me.
