16. Taken Pup

The next day I woke up to the blinding light of the sun in my eyes and that made me groan and turn around into Derek's warm chest to continue to sleep. Only I couldn't because I felt Derek's eyes staring into me intensely.

"What's wrong? I asked my voice muffled from laying in his chest.

"I was just thinking that's all". He answered his hand tracing light patterns into my back.

"Thinking about? I fetched as I embraced his warmth.

"Well your scent for one thing, and the other the sex of the baby". Derek said, I could feel the vibration of his throat as he talked.

"Well I believe and this is just a theory, but I believe I'm turning into a werewolf or is one now". I told him and his hold on me tightened then loosened as he I asked him, barely audibly, to relax.

"How? He finally spoke. "Did an alpha bite you? He asked.

"No I think it's because of our little munchkins". I said.

"But they haven't developed their wolf abilities yet". Derek said confused.

"Well about that". I said leaning up to look him in the eyes. "Deaton and Davina said that since their hybrids you know part witch part werewolf their powers have surfaced from the womb". I explained as best I can, Derek must've understood because he smiled and pulled me back into his chest.

"Well that explains the enhanced scent you were secreting". He told me.

"What do you mean? I asked.

"Well first it was very strong and hard to resist your scent because I knew you were my mate and because I was fighting it as I was afraid you wouldn't want me the way I wanted you". He took a quick breath. "But you did and I'm so elated". He said kissing my forehead. "And I guess because your a werewolf now your scent calls out to me more then anything else. But that wouldn't be a shock since your my mate". He smiled kissing my forehead yet again.

"Sorry about that". I apologized.

"Don't be baby I love smelling your scent it keeps me sane". Derek said. "Now about the baby's". He jumped right into the next topic of conversation.

"I wanted to be surprised when they came out so I forbid myself from learning their sex". I told him. "Remember I told you this yesterday were you not listening to me? I said frowning.

"I was listening I just thought you didn't want to tell me the actual truth until it was just us that's all". He smiled. "Next question". He said.

"Shoot". I replied.

"Would you like us to be a family? I mean you know we get married, only if you want to get married you know no pressure or anything, or we just remain together and just raise the pups like we are now". Derek said almost in a rush.

"I would love to marry you". I smiled holding back the excitement that now plagued my body. "With a big house and enough space and privacy for our family". I added.

"Really? He asked.

I could hear his heart beating rapidly in my ear as I laid into his chest. I could smell the scent of honey and chocolate, I guess that's what the scent of love, excitement, or happiness smelt like.

"Really really". I smiled.

He pulled me closer then kissed my lips softly making me burst with hormonal charges. I wanted nothing more then to jump him but thought better of it. I laid in his arms feeling like everything in the world was finally peaceful.
