After I was finished with my shower I stood in front of the mirror looking at myself. My eyes were bloodshot and the left half of my face had a large bruise covering it, not to mention my busted lip. Turning away from the mirror I grab my clothes putting them on. I desperately searched for some sort of ponytail so that I could put my hair up but couldn't find one. After giving up on the search I considered how long I could hold up in here, I mean there's no lack of water. During my pondering I heard a pounding on the door, backing away I looked for anything that could be used as a weapon.

Grabbing the comb I snapped it over my leg breaking it into a nice pointy tip. The door then slammed open and a woman came in, I went after her with the comb managing to stab her in the leg before she screamed. Two men hearing her scream ran to the doorway and realizing what had happened tried to seize me. Ripping the comb out of the woman's leg I went after the shorter man managing to stab him in the gut before the other knocked me off and shoved me to the ground. The guy putting his full weight on me tried to grab the comb from my hand, my response to this was a knee to his balls. Like the other man from the room, he doubled over in pain, at least until I used the comb to stab him in the neck, breaking it in the process. As I made sure the other two would keep quiet I searched the bodies for any type of weapon when clapping filled the room.

"Well done Skylar. I was wondering how good a fighter you would be, especially with Jace being your trainer. Tell me have you ever managed to beat him?" remarked Jonathan.

"Screw you"

"You know out of the two of us Valentine trained me harder, where he took mercy on his precious angle, he trained me harder in every way imaginable." I stared at him trying to find any resemblance to Jace in him, any trace that they were raised by the same man. But then that man was a monster and this could have been Jace had he never been sent to the Lightwoods.

"Poor little Jonathan, did daddy love the one that wasn't even his flesh and blood more than you? Was it because where you were all dark, Jace was nothing but light?" I mocked, but before I even finished the last word he was in front of me, his hands wrapped around my neck.

"My name is SEBASTION, not Jonathan" He growled at me, throwing me on the ground in front of him. I laid at his feet trying to suck as much oxygen as possible into my lungs.

"What is it you want from me?" I panted, still struggling to breathe.

"I want Jace to suffer, and you Skylar are just the start of his pain. The easiest to grab as well, where all the others have someone constantly looking out for them you have no one. Taking the girl who is like his sister, the one who he swore no harm would come to as long as he is around, well now your disappearance would be the one that kills him the most." He mused, "Well Clary's may be the one whose lost would anger him the most, he would have known when and how she was taken. He'll blame himself the most for your disappearance."

"Then why bother keeping me alive? If you kill me and send the body back wouldn't that be more effective?" realizing this was a stupid thing to suggest, I just couldn't help but wonder why he kept me alive.

"Immediately, yes he would be in total devastation but would be quick to blame your death on me. However, with your disappearance, he has no idea of what is happening to you and the imagination is the worst form of torture." Looking around the room he slowly turned back to me,

"You've destroyed my bathroom. I guess you'll just have to learn when you're supposed to make a mess and when not. Follow me" Jonathan ordered after a moment of still lying there he kneeled beside me remarking,

"Just because I'm not going to kill you doesn't mean that I won't hurt you, I do rather enjoy giving punishments, especially to those who don't listen." He warned with my face between his hands.

"Now get the hell up and follow me" deciding to listen to him this time I followed him back to the room I woke up in. Opening the door he shoved me in causing me to fall on the floor, locking the door behind me.

3rd person POV at the Institute

Everyone had gathered in the kitchen after searching the entire house for her. Jace and Alec just came back from her room trying to find something with enough emotional attachment to use a tracking rune. They grabbed the necklace she always wore.

"She never takes that necklace off," remarked Alec, "In all my time knowing her I've never seen her have it off"

"She only takes it off for two reasons" replied Izzy "When she's in water and sleeping, but she puts the necklace back on the second she gets out, or wakes up."

"There is also the fact that the knife she keeps under her pillow is missing," Jace said, glancing towards the others,

"She was taken" they all looked towards one and another until Alec stood up and took Jace's hand with his stele in his other,

"We'll find her don't worry"

"She's my sister Alec, she was raised in the same house I was. Her father was Valentines most trusted person. She lived in the same house as us, she was the only kindness I knew growing up" grieved Jace, "If anything happened to her, I couldn't live with myself"

"We'll find her Jace" reassured Clary.

"Let's find her Jace," Alec said. Taking his hand he drew the tracking rune, both of them staring deeply into each other's eyes. Focusing on only Skylar.

"Dammit" yelled Jace, breaking away from Alec.

"We can't find her. The rune can't track her. Dammit. Dammit. DAMMIT" yelled Jace at the top of his lungs. The others all looked at him worryingly when suddenly his phone went buzzed. Grabbing it quickly he opened it up to see the text, hoping it was Sky.

"H-He has her. He has Skylar" he whispered.

"Jace" Izzy questioned, "Who has her?" Looking up at her, tears brimming in his eyes he handed her the phone,

"Looking for something brother?" Izzy read aloud her voice cracking.

"He sent a picture of her as proof" She gasped showing the others. There on the phone was a picture of Skylar, with her brown hair in a tangled heap, her hands tied behind her back, and a large bruise on her face.

"He has her" Jace whispered, getting up and running from the room.
