PERSONAL BACKGROUND: Kari doesn't have much of a difficult life, she has a loving family, and is able to participate in what she loves. Masako Kari was born in Kyoto, Japan and had moved to Seattle, Washington after her toddler years had come to an end. From Seattle, she had always participated in dance from a young age, starting from Contemporary and transitioning into Hip Hop. She also took several vocal lessons and was taught guitar and the piano by her grandmother, a low-key famous musician from Korea. But besides that, she has also had an interest in drawing due to anime and mangas, and took online art classes. When YG had international auditions, her grandmother and parents had signed her up from the age of just 11 and she became a trainee. From her trainee life and then on, she then auditioned for Brand New Music thinking that she didn't have a chance within YG. She got in and became a trainee once more at age 16.

- Has always been active from a young age playing soccer, playing sports and dancing: has a very speedy and fast metabolism

- Ex-YG trainee that trained for 4.5 years there

- Has an older sister that is a trainee of Fantagio

- Very close to all of YG Family and still keeps in contact, Blackpink being her best friends

- Very good with languages: Knows fluent English, Japanese, and Korean, but is semi-fluent in Thai ( trained with Lisa ), and French and Mandarin ( due to her godmother )

- Lived alone in Korea without her family for a year until her family moved from Seattle to Seoul- Is grateful for her opportunities, but hates all the hate judgement that comes with it

- The side where she's just stupid and playful comes out when she knows you well enough. And this is just when she's REALLY extra and just REALLY random.
