As previously announced, IRIS, the girl group created by Produce 51 Season 1 under WNET, will be debuting its sub-unit. The group will be promoting with WHATTA MAN.
"Whatta Man" (also known as "Whatta Man (Good Man)") is a song recorded by South Korean girl group project IRIS . The song samples the 1963's song "What a Man" by Linda Lyndell.
The song was released as a single album by the first sub-unit of the group, with members Im Younghee (1), Jung Jieun (3), Lee Seojin (4), Kim Jihye (8), Song Hara (9), Masako Kari (10), and Kim Chanmi (11).
It will be released as a digital download by WNET and distributed by LOEN Entertainment on May 28, 2018 and as a physical single on May 29, 2018.
The lyrics were written by Nikki Flores, Phillip Bentley, and Seo Jeonga and the music was composed by Emile Ghantous, Steve Daly, Keith Hetrick, Ryan S. Jhun, Michel Schulz, and Fritz Michallik, with additional background vocals from Nikki Flores and Melanie Fontana.
To promote the single album, IRIS's unit will be performing the song on several South Korean music programs, including W Countdown! and Music Bank.
A line distribution for the title track was also released on May 28, 2018.
