I'm woken by the bright sunlight peaking through my window.
I open my eyes feeling refreshed.
I stretch and look over to where Kyler was sleeping last night....
He's not there.
Oh my god!
Please tell me that wasn't a dream.
My eyes start getting watery.
Tears roll down my cheeks.
"No No No No No No No" I start saying at the disbelief that all of that was a dream.
"It can't be. Please."
I push the covers off of me and jump out of the bed.
I run to my door and fling it open.
I look out my door and down the hallway.
Nothing.
I step back and close my door.
I go sit in the corner of my room.
I start crying harder than before and the tears are just pouring out of my eyes.
"Oh no please come back to me Kyler."
Then my door opens.....
Kyler!
I gasp.
I run to him and jump in his arms.
"Baylee What's wrong?"
"I thought you left me again." I said between my tears.
" No No I just stepped outside to call my mom.
I promise I won't leave you again."
He hugs me tighter.
I break the hug and look into his perfect blue eyes.
He wipes away my tears with his fingers.
I give him a small smile.
I take his hand to the bed.
He lies down and gets comfortable.
And I lie down and open his arm so I can lie in it.
He holds me and I put my head on his chest.
We're not sleeping.
We are just enjoying the moment.
A few minutes pass and my door opens.
"Goodmorning Baylor how are---" she stops mid sentence and notices Kyler.
"Oh my god. Kyler. Honey are you ok?"
She rushes over and sits on the edge of the bed.
"Yes Mrs.bledsoe I'm fine." He Says with an innocent smile.
"Have you called your parents?" Mom asked.
"Yes. Yes I called my mom a little while ago." Kyler answered.
"Well...where have you been? Are you ok? Why did you leave? Where did you go? What happened? Why---"
I clear my throat as if telling her to stop talking.
"Ok well I'll leave you two to talk. I'm glad your back Kyler."
She gives him a gentle smile.
He gives her a guilty but sincere smile and turns his head back up toward the ceiling.
I have this overwhelming feeling that she's just happy that she doesn't have to worry about her son starving to death anymore rather than the current presence of Kyler himself. I kinda think she is actually mad at him for making me go through what I went through.
