Draco woke up in the Slytherin common room, at first not registering where he was. I must've fallen asleep on the sofa Draco thought. To be honest, the night before was a blur. It was like he was having a hangover, just without the effect of liquor. He groaned, rubbing his temples as it all slowly was coming back to him like a nightmare.

The stargazing was nice, in fact, the whole night was nice, until it was midnight and the truth was revealed.

Draco didn't really know how to react. He should've been absolutely fuming at Astoria, but for some reason, he wasn't that upset with her. God why did it have to be Granger?! He thought, still the vivid image of her sprinting down the corridor fresh in his mind. Anyone but Granger.

Blaise walked down the stairs from the dorm room, surprised when he saw Draco.

"There you are! I was wondering where you'd gotten to. How was your night?" Blaise seemed in a cheery mood. Maybe he'd had better luck at the party than Draco had.

"Hippogriff dung" replied Draco bluntly.

"Seriously? But weren't you and Astoria just going to...-"

"Don't mention Astoria to me at the moment" Draco groaned. "I'm more than a little ticked off with her"

"Oh no" Blaise went to sit next to Draco, a sympathetic look on his dark complexion. "What happened?"

"Oh, nothing" Draco said, a fake smile etched on his face "just the fact Hermione Granger transformed into Astoria and I hooked up with her, completely oblivious to the fact it wasn't Astoria. Other than that, I'm cheery and happy as hell!" he crossed his arms and flopped down. Blaise sucked in air through his teeth, shaking his head.

"You and Granger? Oh you're joking" Draco wished he was joking, but he wasn't. "But I mean, how was the night?"

"Actually, really really good" Draco had to admit that fact. "I mean, if it was anyone else, I would definitely keep what we had going. But... I don't know... With Granger? She's the golden girl, all bookish and nerdy, not to mention the fact I've bullied her all her hogwarts years, I don't know, Zabini. Seems like risky territory that I don't really want to enter" Blaise's eyebrows knitted together as he was thinking.

"Well what's Hermione's verdict on it all?"

"I don't know" snapped Draco, a little meaner than he'd meant to say it, "can't say I had a nice little chat with her about it".

"Why do you always have to be sarcastic?" Blaise nudged Draco's shoulder.

"Because" Draco threw his head back, with a groan "it's my coping mechanism, okay? Anyways, how was your night?"

"Meh" Blaise relaxed a little bit. "It was fine, I guess. I ended up transforming into Pablo Ferreira from Hufflepuff, who's actually quite good looking, so I ended up having that advantage. Other than that, I didn't get much action. I mainly just danced, ate and danced some more. You know it's actually quite fun, not worrying about love and girlfriends. It's nice just being able to be carefree" Blaise said.

"Hey, you won't be thinking like that for long. Pansy's not going to be visiting her Grandma in Morocco forever,  you know" Draco reminded his friend. But he really wasn't fully paying attention to the conversation, as a certain memory in which Hermione had transformed back and sprinted off kept replaying in his mind, over and over again.

"Morning. Wake up. Wake up" Ginny bashed Hermione on the head with a pillow. "Hermione, come on, I need you to tell me everything that happened last night. HERMIONE!" The sleeping brunette groaned and began to stir.
