"HERMIONE!" Draco yelled into the darkness. There was an absolutely sickening silence that followed. "ALEX!"

Henry and Draco were rigid in fear. Silence followed for another minute... Or what seemed like a minute...

"We're down here!" Hermione's voice yelled from somewhere. "Jump down. It's not far."

"Are you sure?" Draco replied nervously, relief washing over him like a tidal wave.

"Yes, Draco, of course I'm sure!" Hermione sassed. Henry wasn't waiting around. He took a few steps back and sprinted forward, jumping into the darkness.

"Woooooaaaaaaaaa- ouch. Alex! Hermione! There you are!" Henry's voice echoed up to Draco, sounding like it was within a seashell. "Come on Draco!"

The Slytherin took a deep breath, cradling his broken hand and leaping into the pit. Wind rushed past his ears for a good four seconds before he felt his feet smack down into a hard surface, causing him to tumble onto him backside. He looked up in a daze, greeted by three faces. Hermione held out her hand and Draco took it graciously as the brunette yanked him to his feet.

"That was a bit of a pathetic task." Hermione said blankly.

"I'm not complaining." Henry replied.

"So now what?" Alex walked forward. "Hello? Anyone there?"

There was no reply.

"Hello?"

"HELLO." It was the voice again. "I see that you made it past the first obstacle in this Gryffindor challenge. The second part is... Well... Really quite brutal. Let's get to it!" It seemed excited.

"I don't like the sound of this..." Henry muttered and Alex nudged him, snapping "be quiet!"

In an instant, four white doors appeared in front of the group. Each door was identical, once again lit up by some unknown light source.

"4 doors." The voice boomed. "One child. One salvation. Two beasts."

Draco's blood went cold. Icy.

The voice continued "I'm not going to explain how this game works. Just so you know, I put a lot of effort into this!"

"Good for you." Hermione snapped, looking up as she said it. For Hermione, there needed to be just something that she could blame for this. She couldn't handle taking part in these tasks without the slightest idea of who the ringleader was.

"Oi! I had to stab that little Gryffindor brat for this game! You know how hard that was? He kept scurrying off before I had the chance to really dig the knife in."

"You're disgusting." Alex was repulsed.

"You're going to Azkaban as soon as this is over, Weasley." Draco spat.

The voice released a loud belly-laugh. "Azkaban? Really? I'm sure you know that place all too well from your little visits you and your mum took to see your dad." The voice paused. "Oh, and I'm not Ron! You guys really thought I was Ron ? Funny!"

"Whoever you are, you're dead" Draco seethed.

"Yeah, and you also shou-" Henry started, his tone angering.

"The moment's passed now, Henry." Hermione said to him. He blushed and looked at Alex who didn't seem to notice.

"Right. Let's um... Let's do this." He mumbled.

Draco turned his attention to the four doors. "Alright. So what did the voice say? One salvation, one child.... Two... puzzles?"

"Two monsters." Hermione replied gravely. "Now, Alex, Henry, you two stay back. Draco and I can handle these so called 'monsters' alright?"
