Harry:
You and Harry had been married for 6 months now. You had wanted to start having kids as early as possible, figuring parenting was something you wanted to tackle at a young age. You had been trying for months but nothing. One day when you ran out of pregnancy tests you asked Harry if he thought you two should be tested and find out if you were fertile. He told you not to worry and that everything was going to be ok, but that he would go with you to be tested if it would easy your mind. You assured him that it would so he set up an appointment. You two were sitting in the doctor’s office waiting for the test results.
“It has been a long wait this is not a good sign,” you worried out loud.
“No need to worry Y/N I’m sure we are fine.” Harry said as the doctor walked into the office.
“Hello mister and misses Styles, how are you?”
“Fine, the results,” you snapped nervously.
“Well Mrs. Styles everything looks good and healthy, but Mr. Styles there appears to be a complication. You appear to have pretty slow swimmers and I’m afraid your chances of any of them taking are slim to none.” You could feel water swelling in your eyes as you looked over to Harry. You tried not to let him see you sad as he shook the Doctors hand and you both exited. The car ride home was silent, but you just placed your hand on his leg. Once you got home you began supper and Harry went up-stairs. As your noodles were boiling, you walked up to go check on him. When you got up the stairs you saw the end table drawer hit the wall.
All of his condoms flew all over the room, as harry said, “God dammit.” You slowly walked into the room to see his faced buried in a pillow as he punched the mattress. You sat next to him in bed and wrapped him in your arms.
“Honey it’s ok, what’s wrong,” you whispered.
“I know how much you want kids. I can’t give you the one thing you want the most in the world, what kind of man am I,” he said a tear now falling down his face.
“You are a great man and husband, which is the one thing I wanted most in the world. If you can’t give me kids than I was not made to have them ok?” Harry nodded and rested his head back on the pillow to calm down. You gathered up the scattered condoms and threw them away on your way to finish supper.
Niall:
You were sitting in the living room reading a book when Niall interrupted you, “Maybe we should not have kids. I don’t think we would be the best parents.”
“Believe it or not Niall I take offense to that statement,” you said trying not to lose your cool.
“Let me rephrase it then. I don’t think I would be a very good dad Y/N. With my touring and everything, it would not be fair to drag a kid along for all of that.” You looked up in shock since Niall had talked about how much he wanted kids so many times before.
“You are going to be a great dad, Nialler. I don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re going to be our kid’s best friend. You are going to make him giggle, be his sports watching pal, and eventually his drinking buddy; but, at the same time you are going to have his respect and he will listen to you. I can’t think of a man who would be a better father than you. Why are you being so ridiculous?” You said setting your book down.
“I got myself checked out after you found out that you were healthy to have kids, and I’m not,” Niall said plopping on the couch. You could see how disappointed he was.
“Why didn’t you just say something?”
“It’s embarrassing and emasculating, and I know you wanted kids,” he said putting his head down. You got up and straddled him where he was sitting. You kissed him passionately.
