"Thank you both, you know you two didn't have to do all that you did for me. But thank you, I appreciate everything. It's been awhile since I've had anyone be this nice to me." I said to the two men in-front of  me. After Worick and Nicolas had taken me to eat, they had walked me home as they promised. I of course told them they didn't have to, they already had done so much for me on top of paying for me at the diner, but they insisted and weren't backing down no matter what I said. So we were finally at the moment that we were standing in-front of my house, thanking them again for the millionth time today.

"Ever, please, it's least we could have done." Worick said, giving me a smile.

I turned to Nicolas and smiled. "Thank you again, for saving me." Nicolas nodded and signed what I had learned was "You're Welcome."

"Call us if you ever need anything. We'll see you around Ever, try not to get into too much trouble." Worick said jokingly, giving me a small grin. As both men turned to walk away, I called out to them again. "Wait!"

Worick turned stopped and looked back at me, as did Nicolas when he noticed Worick wasn't following him. "Come back some time and I'll make dinner, as a 'thank you, and it would be nice to have people around for a change." I said smiling.

"Sounds like a deal Ever." Worick said with a smile, he turned back to Nicolas and they resumed walking down the street.

As I unlocked the door and went inside, putting my bag down by the sofa, I pulled out my cellphone and called Dr. Theo. I started tomorrow at eight a.m. sharp.

  ----------------------

I had asked him the night before it I should wear something specific for this job, but he said wear whatever, that he had scrubs and things for minor surgeries and things. So I dressed appropriately, wearing navy blue jeans, a black long sleeve t-shirts, and a simple pair of sneakers. I figured as well that I would bring a change of clothes in my backpack, just in case. I also had decided to wear my hair in a high pony tail, I never really put my hair up, so it was a nice change for the day. I arrived at Theo's clinic right on time and as I imagined the doctor decided to make sure my injuries were healing well. He then gave me something to do as soon as possible.

He had me doing some inventory. Towards the back of the clinic where his desk and paperwork were, was a big metal cabinet against the wall filled with bottles and boxes of pills. All I had to do for now was count how many were in this cabinet and then move on to the next ones.

I honestly don't know how I didn't lose my mind. It felt like I was in this endless pile of pills and other forms of medication. I looked to the clock after having counted what felt like one thousand pills and medication to see it was already nine thirty a.m..

'It's only been an hour an a half and I'm not done with this cabinet yet?'

After seeing how long it had taken for me to not even count half of what was in this first unit, I knew that it was going to be a long day.

About half an hour later at ten a.m., a young girl came through the door. She looked no older than twelve. She was wearing a cute little white dress and knee high socks, and a pair of black shoes. She had cute short light brown hair, and beautiful blue eyes. She was adorable. She removed her small purse from her shoulder and put it down on a table by one of the clinic beds.

"Dr. Theo, I'm here." The young girl called out, alerting the doctor to come out from the back of the clinic where he was sat at his desk. "Hello Nina, you're here earlier than usual." He said to the young girl.

"School was closed for the day, so I figured I'd come in earlier and help you out." She said with a smile.

"Ever, come here a moment." He said to me, the young girl finally noticing me in the corner, on the floor, surround by pills and medication. One pile of things I've counted and one of things I haven't. I stood up, leaving my work spot, making sure not to knock anything over. I walked over to the front room of the clinic and stood next to Dr. Theo.

"Nina this is Ever, Ever this is Nina." He said introducing me to the young girl named Nina. "Nina is my personal assistant and where pretty much everything is. If you ever need help when I'm not around, she'll help you." The doctor said patting her head. She gave me a smile and stuck out her hand for me to shake.

"It's nice to meet you Miss Ever." Nina told me as I shook the young girl's hand.

"You can just call me Ever. It's nice to meet you Nina."

Dr. Theo turned and headed towards the back of the clinic where his office space was. As he walked away he informed Nina that there were paper bags of medication that need to be dropped off to some patients, and that she should take me with her for delivers. I had never been so happy to not do inventory. Inventory here was a lot more work than it was at the bar.

I walked back over to my bag just to grab my cellphone and wallet, just in case. I then returned over to the front room where Nina was ready with her little purse and three paper bags in her right hand and a piece of paper in her left.

"It's nice to have someone help, I'm always scared to drop things." She said with a small smile and giggle.

"Well, don't worry, I'm sure me and you will make a good team." I said smiling as I picked up the other three bags and we headed out.

Yes , I know, I'm late with the update, but I've been sick all week and writing anything has been next to impossible. But here is the new chapter, it's kind of just a filler chapter, sorry about that. But next week's chapter will be more interesting. Once again, please tell me what you think and enjoy. Stay tuned. :)
