"My shadow's the only one that walks beside me

My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating

Sometimes I wish someone up there will find me

'til then I walk alone"

Her name was Madison Winters. She had long and wavy brown hair, brown eyes, and light tan skin. She was born on April 5, 1989 in New York, United States. When she was a year old she moved permanently to New Jersey, United States. She was raised by Robin and Diana Winters, a loving couple who made their beautiful daughter feel loved and lucky for living in this world.

Madison had a best friend: Olive Paisley. They met when both broke their arms in a accident at their neighbourhood's playground, and since then they became inseparable. When Madison turned 7, she had her first boyfriend: Jason Brodick. He was a good friend from school, and one day when they saw a couple walk by, they decided to be a couple too just to see what it felt like. Many people, even Madison and Jason, thought it would be just a little game. But years passed and they were happily together as a couple.

You could say Madison had the perfect life. But when she turned 10, everything started to crumble.

Madison's mom decided she wanted a tattoo to show her love for the Winters' family in a permanent and artistic way, but she went to a suspicious and dirty tattoo parlor to have one. Two weeks after having her tattoo she started to feel sick: She would feel very tired, feel frequent shivers and have sudden fevers.

Eventually it got worse, so she got carried to the hospital. And when she got checked up, she was diagnosed with AIDS. The whole family was devastated. The following months the family was more united than ever: Madison would stay with her mum all afternoon after school, and Robin skipped his job sometimes to just pass time with his wife. That was the routine until the 23rd of September of 1999, just an hour before Madison came home from school, Diana passed away. Surprise and sadness invaded the moods of the day.

As if Diana's passing wasn't enough, Madison received 2 more bad news: Olive was moving with her mum to Rome in 3 days after the funeral, and Jason was moving to UK to live with his grandparents in 2 days after the funeral too. Madison took it badly and broke 3 china plates from the kitchen while crying histerically when she was at her house. But then she tried to make the most of the time she had left and the day her friends left she made them promise to keep in touch with her.

The promise was quickly broken. A year after they left Jason had a celebrity girlfriend and referred Madison as just a "childhood fling". Olive never answered Madison's calls, and when Madison took a trip to Rome she let her new Italian friends humilliate Madison.

And to make things harder, Madison was expected to get along with a woman Robin started dating called Caroline.

Madison was devastated by the physical and emotional loss of everyone she loved, so the night she came back from Rome she swore to never love anyone again.

3 years later there was no sight of the old Madison. She would fight at school, get detentions and suspensions, skip classes, fight in shady bars and sometimes drink alcohol with a fake ID. She was the human definition of "good-girl-gone-disaster".

She swore to never befriend or love anybody, but fate decided she had to get 3 new best friends called Belle, Rebecca and Emily. They became friends when the girls saved Madison from ending in a hospital because of a fight in a bar. Though they couldn't stop Madison from being reckless, Madison learned to have a little self control since she had friends to care for.

She also got a friends with benefits called Blake Rover, but ironically they never had sex. Eventually they broke up because at a party Madison found out Blake was making girls make a line to have sex with him, and at the moment Madison barged in the room he was shagging one of the many blonde bimbos of the school without a care in the world.

The final straw in her crazy life was her expulsion from every public school in the country because she wrote a very explicit script for a teather project. Since she was 16 she still needed education, so her dad had to start looking for boarding schools since private tutors were more expensive. The least expensive one and the most promising for high education was "Scarlett Contrell Boarding School", a old boarding school located in Idaho. Since she wanted a new scenery where she could feel happy for once and to start fresh Madison agreed to go.

So in August 10, 2005 Madison Winters started a new life. A new life that if she wasn't aware of her surroundings, it could end in a snap.
