-" What's this?" Madison asked while looking the stacks of papers on Marilyn's hands.
-" It's a test" Marilyn replied enthusiastically.
-" Do this crap school gives house tests? Because if it does then I have to have a serious talk with the old guy we call headmaster. He didn't mention any of this."
-" No no, this isn't a school test. It's a questionaire about your surviving skills on the woods." Marilyn explained.
-" And why would be necessary to answer questions about something I won't likely experience ever in my life?" Madison asked crossing her arms.
-" Because you know this school: Is old and rusty, and any day is a good day for it to crumble by age or nature disasters. The woods at the south side is our nearest shelter in case a accident happens, so if you want to stay alive you gotta know how to live in it. Just answer this by your knowledge and you'll have a tutorial depending on your results."
-" Mhm, and when do I need to finish this?"
-"As soon as possible."
-" Well, I think I'll start this now to get this over with. Bye." Madison bid farewell and shut the door in Marilyn's face.
-" Stop doing that!" Marilyn yelled.
-" Doing what?" Madison asked grinning.
-"Ugh forget it." Marilyn sighed and left while Madison laughed.
After sobering up her laughter Madison checked the survey. It had 3 papers full of questions about surviving skills. She saw the test as a walk in the park, since she had a uncle that had more adventures than "The Simpsons" number of episodes. He was British, but when he turned 20 he moved to America to live adventures without his family's annoying requests of having a solid life instead of goofing and risking his life on woods and mountains, though he would fly back to England ocasionally to tell Madison his countless adventures. Sadly he died when he was 32 while exploring the Amazon in South America.
Remembering her uncle's stories when he used to camp in the woods, she was ready for any stupid question the survey offered.
First she filled the basics: Her full name, age, gender, birthday, hometown, etc. Then she started reading the introduction:
Greetings, new student. Here we present you "The Survival Survey". In this questionaire I, the Scarlett Contrell Boarding School Headmaster, will examine your survival skills in case of a emergency. Use all your knowledge and answer sincerely all the questions. And don't worry if you have lack of knowledge, we will gladly give survival class to sharpen your skills. Good luck."
-" Nice try H, but acting sweet isn't your forte." Madison scoffed and skipped to the first question.
1) Imagine you need to escape to the woods in the middle of the night. What would you do to survive that first night?
Madison scoffed. That was a question the only ones who could get it wrong were babies. She answered:
Build a fire and a shelter, duh.
2) What would you do to save food and water?
I wouldn't save any. I'll eat it at the moment and find more since when the body needs you just have to give what it wants (unless you want to die).
3) To what extreme you would go to have some food?
To the extreme of hunting animals and eating them raw in absence of fire. Like I said before: You gotta give what the body needs.
4) It's downpour day! How do you shield yourself?
Stay in my shelter and never go under a tree in case of lightning.
5) What would be your weapon for self defense and how would you get it?
A knife. Not only works for self defense, but also to get food.
I would get it probably from wood and then roll branches with thorns around it so it can have extra effect.
6) How would you fight against attackers (it could be animals or humans)
Play a classic game of hide and seek with them until they get tired, and in extreme cases use my knife muawhaha.
7) How would you get help to escape? (in sickness or in health)
Just make use of my senses and walk to a path where I can get out (I don't like working with fire anymore).
And if I'm sick, walk and pray to anyone that can hear for some strength.
8) Last question: in 1 to 10, how do you define your surviving skills?
Probably a 5. I only know what to do, but never tried it.
After finishing what she considered a annoying and creepy test, she just tossed it on the couch and took a nap.
And that's Chapter 7 people!

P.S: song for this chapter is "Derezzed" by Daft Punk. There isn't lyrics because it's just a wordless electronica song
