"I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I'm somewhere I belong"

Madison started school 2 days after her arrival at the boarding school. After finishing putting her uniform on -that consisted on a white blouse, navy blue tie, black skirt, long white socks, and black shoes- someone knocked at the door. Curious she opened the door quickly, only to be Marilyn the person at the other side.

-" Good morning Madi." Marilyn greeted brightly.

-" Don't call me Madi." Madison spat.

-" Then what should I call you?" Marilyn asked.

-" Madison, simple as that."

-" But it's so long."

-" I don't care if it takes you a thousand years to say my full name, you don't get the right to nickname me. Anyway, what do you want?"

Hiding the slight hurt she felt, Marilyn replied: " I'm going to join your walk to school since it's your first day."

-" What are you? my bodyguard or something? Because I don't need it. I know my way to school." Madison scoffed.

-" But you don't know the students. And who wants to hang in the wrong crowd?" Marilyn replied.

Madison thought a little about it.

-" If I go with you, will you stop nagging me?" Madison asked sighing.

-" It's a deal." Marilyn beamed.

-" Fine, let's go." Madison got her bag and followed Marilyn to school.

When the girls reached the school yard Madison had two words to describe the scene in front of her: stereotyped ground. There was a lot of balls of people that could be easily tagged. Marilyn guided her through all the groups:

-" Ok, so as you see every student has it's posse. The first group you see here is the people with eating disorders." In that group you could see many girls and boys with their bones exposed, and some were throwing up in the grass. Madison could only gag and pity them.

-" Here is the rockers and emos" People with piercings, tattoos, black and white clothes, and some with cuts surrounded the group. Seeing the guys with cuts made Madison remember the time she cut twice one night. It was the night her father announced his engagement with Caroline. At first she thought cutting was cool, but the after pain and ugly scars made her throw all the blazers in her room the morning after. Her thoughts got interrupted by hearing Marilyn's guidance.

-" The artistic people." There was a lot of paint and the grass and almost more canvas and sketch pads than people

-" The musicians." Those were the loudest. With many guitars and people singing, all the noise made Madison cringe and walk faster.

-" The bullies." A lot of tough guys and some girls were throwing some punches at each other and calling names at the group at their side. Madison felt a little like home there, but she promised to have a new start, and if that meant being more chill, then so be it.

-" The nerds." A lot of papers, books and concentrated students surrounded the circle.

-" The athletics." Many shaped boys were playing a match of football and girls were cheering and doing gymnastic stuff. Madison was never one to do exercise ever since she was in elementary school.

-" The gossipers." A lot of girls chatting, squealing and checking magazines could be seen. Madison was never the one to gossip; She didn't even know who The Kardashians were until she bumped into them on a trip to Hollywood 2 years ago where she just brushed them off.
