*Monday Morning*

Kassidy's POV-

As I walked into the bustling school hallway, I couldn't help but be overwhelmed by everything. Girls where squealing and hugging their best friends.

'Didn't they see each other just yesterday?' I thought, rolling my eyes.

The jocks were giving each other 'bro hugs' and high fives. I saw Jack mixed in with the football and basketball players. He noticed me and silently whispered 'Hey' I smiled and waved in return.

"Their hotties, aren't they." I heard a female voice say.

I looked to my left to see a brunette girl with chocolate brown eyes. She was tall and built like a swimmer.

"I'm Lexi, your new locker neighbor." she stated, reaching her hand out. I took it and gave it a light shake.

'Kassidy, but call me Kat." I said with a smile. I turned back to my locker and opened it with one try.

"How do you know Jack?" she asked, closing her locker silently. "Only the really pretty girls get to know that sexy piece of meat."

I burst out laughing. "You did not just say that." I barely choked out through the tears of my laughter.

"I did. But really. How do you know him?" she asked a second time.

"My mom and his use to be  best friends. And he lives in my neighborhood." I finally answered.

"Oh, your the new girl. Why did you move here?" Lexi replied.

Damn, this girl is nosey.

The bell rang throughout the long hallway.

Thank God! I really didn't want to answer her question.

"I have to go to World History." I stated.

"P.E." she responded, pointing the opposite way I was going.

I waved goodbye and scurried to Mr. Hawk's class. As I walked into the small classroom , the first thing I noticed was Jack sitting by an empty desk. He looked up from his phone and into my eyes. A huge, toothy smile spread across his face.

"Kat! Right here!" he called, patting the seat next to him. I quickly sat down so no one could get that seat.

"How was your weekend?" he asked sweetly, leaning into my shoulder slightly. I took in a whiff of his cologne. Aqua Blue. Just what my dad wore.

"Fantastic." I blushed, pulling my blue notebook out of my book bag. "You looking forward to tryouts today?"

"Man I'm so pum-"

"Excuse you, but you're in my seat." a brunette girl stated loudly, interrupting Jacks sentence. She slammed her purple polka-dotted notebook and other text books onto the desk as she spoke.

"Um... sorry." I stuttered. I started collecting my belongings in a hurry to get out of her way.

"Stay Kat." Jack stated, glaring at the girl still standing in front of my desk.

"She needs to get her ugly ass out of my seat before she regrets it." the girl snarled.

Tears stung my eyes. This wasn't what i expected for my first day here.

Jack slammed his hands down on the smooth surface of his desk. "Enough Emily! Things are over between us. Get lost." he shouted.

Oh my God. I bet Lexi could hear him from here. I cringed at that thought.

The bell finally rang after a long Emily/Jack stare down. The obese, balding teacher walked in to see Emily fuming with rage and deskless.

"Please take a seat Miss. Monrow. " he stated nonchalantly. He turned his back to the class to write something on the blank whiteboard.

"You'll regret this, you bitch." she whispered only for me to hear.

Oh Lord.. This is going to be a long semester.
