Sophie was sure she was more red than she'd ever been in her life as she and Fitz walked back to their friends with Biana skipping ahead. Sophie and Fitz were holding hands now, although Sophie felt pretty self-concious about it. Fitz tightened his hold on her hand and slowed down, letting Biana get ahead of them. He pulled her towards a hallway that led off of the main one.
He backed her up against the wall and touched his forehead to hers. "I'm sorry if I rushed you. I don't ever want you to feel like I'm forcing you to do something you don't want to do. I want you, Sophie, but I don't want to do something wrong and ruin this. I'm new to this too, so we're going to figure this out together, okay?"
Sophie didn't know what to say. His eyes searched her face as he waited for an answer.
"Okay. I'm happy to figure this out together with you, Fitz." He grinned, his body becoming visibly more relaxed, as if he'd been afraid she would say no.
"Thank you Sophie. That means a lot." His hands cupped her face and he lifted her face up to meet his, giving her a slow, thoughtful kiss. It was much calmer than the heated kiss in his bedroom, but his touch still left trails of heat along her body, his lips were soft and he seemed to know exactly what she wanted. What she needed, even.
Then someone cleared their throat.
"Uh, as cute as it is to see you guys with your tongues down each other's throats, we're trying to play a game, and we kinda need two more players to actually have fun."
Fitz slowly finished kissing her, then turned to shoot Keefe a look. "At least I have someone's throat to shove my tongue down." Sophie turned bright red when Fitz winked at her.
"Fitz!" she said flustered. He wrapped one of his arms around her as that walked towards Keefe.
I'm just swapping insults with Keefe. I would never see you like that.
I know, I'm just not used to people saying stuff like that. I'm not upset, don't worry.
"You guys planning on including me in on this little flirting session?" Keefe prodded.
"No, it's too immature. Not meant for your delicate ears," Sophie shot back. Fitz looked at her with a surprised, then burst out laughing.
"Whatever," Keefe grumbled.
"Hey, if you don't want silly answers, don't ask silly questions," Fitz said, still holding in his fit of snorts.
They get back in Biana's room, where Biana is sprawled on one of her fluffy pillows on her carpet. When she saw them she huffed, "What took you guys so long?"
Sorry this was a little late. I'm thinking about ending the story soon since it was only meant as a short and sweet story, and it doesn't have any real conflicts. What do you guys think? Any ideas for plot points or other stories?
