Chapter 27 - Back Where You Belong

After that night, the tree groups cleared out the base and we headed home. Hinata didn't leave my side once and held my hand the whole way home. He's so cute. He packed me clothes so I wasn't walking around with my ass hanging out. I know everyone wants to know what happened to me, but I think they're too scared to ask. How long was I gone for? Days? Weeks? Months? I feel bad that everyone had to come save me but Ushijima is dead now. It's the end of our troubles. Hopefully i'll be able to live out the rest of my life in the shitty world in peace.

"Kageyama." Hinata quietly says whilst squeezing my hand.

"Yes Hinata?" I respond and wrap my arm over his shoulder as we walk back to the cars.

"I missed you." He mumbles.

"Not as much as I missed you." I smile and kiss the top of his head. He stays quiet for a minute, but I can tell he has something else to say. "Come on, spit it out." 

Hinata looks up and me and bites bites his bottom lip hard. "You don't have to tell us what happened." He says.

"If people want to know i'll tell them. I'm safe now, that's all that matters."  I say.

"If I was you, I wouldn't have coped." Hinata says.

"Well you kept me going." I say.

"Me?" He asks and looks up at me.

"Did you forget? You told me you'd find me right before we left. I took your words and buried them deep in my head to make sure I never forgot them. That's how I kept myself together." I say. Hinata blushes and pushes himself closer to me. We get to the cars and everyone says their goodbyes to each other. 

"Thank you everyone for what you did for us. We can't do enough to repay you." Daichi says.

"I'll be there for Kenma tomorrow." Kuroo says and gets into his car.

"Bye chibi-chan!" Oikawa waves.

"Adios Amigos!" Bokuto says and slams the door of his car shut.

"Thank you for helping us!" Hinata says. The rest of the Fallen crows bow with us and say their thanks and we all part ways. I'd say it wont be long before we see each other again. 

Everyone but me and Daichi obviously slept on the way home. I've lost track of time and my sleep schedule didn't last for long. I'm wide awake and Hinata sleeps soudly on my lap.

"Are you okay Kageyama?" Daichi asks from the front of the van.

"Yeah, I'm fine thanks, and you?" I say.

"We're all okay now." He says grabbing onto Suga's hand. "Hey can I ask you something?" 

"Yeah, what is it?" I reply.

"Did you know you were being experimented on?" Daichi asks.

"Yes."

"Did you know what for?"

"...yes." 

"Don't worry, I found the files. I know why. I won't tell anyone if you don't want me to, but is it true? You really can't become infected?" Daichi asks.

I nod and lower my head. It's true. I can't become infected, even if i'm bit or straight up share a kiss with a zombie. There's something in my blood that stops me from getting infected. 

"They never found out why, right?" I ask.

"No, they didn't but you've had litres of blood taken from your system, that's probably why you're so skinny."  Daichi says. "But you know that changes everything, right? It means there's hope."

"Daichi, i'm all up for helping find a cure for this infection, but not in that way. Never again." I say sternly.

"Don't worry Kageyama, you're safe. I'll talk to Sugawara about running a few small tests if you don't mind. It wont require a lot of blood loss. Just a sample if that's okay with you."

"Yes, that's fine. I want an end to this just as much as anyone else." 

Hours later we roll up to the gates of home and are welcomed with silence. It's late into the night so it's not surprising that everyone's asleep. I look at the sleeping Hinata on my lap and stroke his head softly. I lift him into my arms and grab his bags and begin walking towards our apartments. Daichi and everyone else wave goodbye and everyone disperses. 

I just about manage to open the door to Hinata's apartment and lay him gently on the bed. I set his bag next to it and lay a kiss on his lips before slowly pulling away and looking back at his peaceful face.

"How many times did you cry while I was gone..." I say quietly with a sad expression.

"A lot." He suddenly replies and pulls me back down into a kiss.

"Hina-ta" I gasp, falling onto the bed over him.

"Don't leave me again." He says, breaking the kiss briefly but quickly rejoining us. 

"I don't plan to" I say, biting his bottom lip forcing him to gasp so my tongue can slide into his mouth. Hinata kisses back and slowly wraps his legs around my waist, pulling me into his crotch. Our kiss becomes rougher and Hinata has a tight hold around my neck. I feel like he's the dominant in this situation and it's making me uncomfortable. I pull his hands from my neck and put them on my chest. I place both my hands on either side of his head and push down harder into the kiss. "I don't think so." I say through the kiss and grind onto his crotch making him moan slightly. I smile when I hear the noise he makes and decide to do it again, this time the surface is harder. "Oh what's this?" I say and place a hand on his hard member.

"Kageyama!" He yelps out when I make contact.

"Oh come on, you're still wearing pants." I tease. Hinata flushes red and turns his head but I quickly turn it back around and hold his chin. "Do you not want to kiss me?" I ask.

"N-no I do but, aren't you tired." He says.

"Not at all." I smile and kiss him again. I grab his hips and pull them down the bed. Hinata pushes himself into me and I can feel just how hard he is already. I'm just starting to get that way myself. I unzip his pants and pull them down along with his boxers and throw them to the floor. He shudders when the cold air hits him but his only reaction is to pull on my hair making me groan. I pull down my own pants and boxers so there's just enough room for my own to pop out. I grind into Hinata so that both lengths rub against each other. Hinata lets out a quick moan and grinds up into me. He's already aching. I break out long lasting kiss for just a moment while I take off my shirt, Hinata also pulls of his and when I go back in for the kiss the feeling of skin on skin excites me. Hinata quickly becomes sore in that position so I sit up and place him on my lap. I hold both out members in my hand pumping them. Turning Hinata into a mess.  

We both finish far too quickly. I guess we just missed each other too much. Hinata comes right before me right into my hand and I do the same not long after. We both kinda look at eachother with that "Did that really just happen look" and we both turn red. 

"Uhm, i'm gonna wash my hand, put on my shirt." I say, throwing my shirt at the smaller boy and rushing off to the bathroom. I wash the white substance off my hand and look at myself in the mirror. I almost scare myself. I do look really different. My face is pale and way to skinny. I'm surprised anyone even recognised me. 

i pull up my shirt and look down at my stomach. Still got my six pack. I do a mini fist bump to myself and go back into Hinata's bedroom and sit next to him in the bed. I climb in next to him and pat my chest telling him to lie on it. He does so rests his hand on my stomach and quickly drifts off to sleep.

"Welcome home." I say to myself and fall asleep not long after.
