Give Me Love

The Beginning of Everything - Part 1

It was a rainy afternoon in London. Zayn had just gotten back from a meeting with a client and has officially signed his first musician on to his label. At only 24 years old he was making something of himself and earning a lot of money while doing it. He didn't always have all this money. When he was younger he used to watch his mum struggle just to put food on the table, he new right then and there that he needed to do better, not just for himself but also for his mum, she is one of the few people that he actually cares about. Some people would call him cold but he didn't care it got him where he was today. No heart to get broken and distracted by emotions like love. However his cold heart isn't the only thing that helped him get where he is. Simon Cowell. Zayn happened to meet him out of pure dumb luck one day and ever since he's been a very close family friend to him and his mum. Zayn wouldn't be where he is today without him, so for that he will forever be grateful and always does anything he can to repay him. 

He was on his way home driving in the rain, thinking about where to take his mum out to eat to celebrate when his phone rang and distracted him from his thoughts. He looks down and sees that it's Simon. Wasting no time he answers the phone, puts it on speaker and sets it on his dash board. "Hello?" Simon paused before answering. "Hello Zayn, I really hate to do this to you but, do you think you could come down to Harrods really quickly, I need you to do something for me, I'm sorry I know you just left the office but this will only take a second." Zayn let out a deep breath, there was no way he could say no to him. "Ya I'll come as long as you promise that it won't take long, my mum is waiting for me back at the house." Simon replied not wasting any time, really must be important. "Ya I promise just please get here quickly." "Alright I'm on my way, I'll meet you outside." Zayn said and hung the phone up. He pulled a quick U- turn and sped off down the streets in the other direction. 

When he arrives he gets out of the car and walks towards the front where he sees Simon standing impatiently. When Simon sees him relief washes over his face. "Thank god you're here, it took you longer then I was expecting." Zayn laughed a little trying to lighten Simon's mood. "Well I couldn't Just break all the rules of driving." Zayn's attempt at joking around didn't change anything. Simon just kept walking forward not even looking at Zayn. "Alright what's so important?" As soon as he said those words Simon stopped in his tracks and pointed in front of them. It was a little girl, she looked to be around 5 or 6 and she was really small and fragile looking with blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Zayn gets a confused look on his face. "What does this little girl have to do with me?" Simon looked down before looking into his eyes. "Listen, if you do this for me, I will never ask you to do anything for me ever again, this is a huge favor that will change the life of that little girl forever." Zayn looked away, he had an idea of where this conversation was going but he owes his life to Simon, so he listens anyways. Simon continues speaking when he doesn't see any signs of Zayn objecting. "When me and my wife were driving home, we took a wrong turn and went down the wrong neighborhood, as we were driving a car pulled in front of us and stopped causing us to stop, we didn't know what to do so we just watched. Whoever was in the car pushed this little girl out of the door and then just drove off. So we got out and when we got to the girl she was crying and scared and she had a note..... she had a note stapled to her arm Zayn, it said that whoever wanted her could just take her." After Simon said that last part Zayn jerked his head up towards the little girl and his hard expression softened. "Someone just left her Zayn like she was a piece of trash, I would take her in but me and my wife are both already so busy, so I'm asking you to please, take her in, you're mum is at your house all the time so even if you're to busy at least that precious little girl will have you're mum, please I'm begging you, and you know I don't beg. Don't worry about all the legal problems, me and my team will take care of that, all I want you to focus on is giving that little girl a loving home."

Zayn stood there and thought for a second. He kept looking up at the little girl. She was crying and clutching onto Simon's wife's leg. It's not that keeping her would be an inconvenience to him, he could more then afford it and Simon was right when he wasn't home she would have his mum, and he knows his mum would be more then happy she's an amazing woman and loves kids. But the problem is Simon said a "loving" home, he can't afford to love someone, and just by looking at this little girl he could tell that she would be the one to break his hard shell, it was a already happening and he couldn't have that. When he looked up at her once more he felt this odd feeling inside of him beginning to grow that he only felt with his mum. He wanted to protect her. He wanted to keep her safe from everything bad in the world. There was just something about her and he didn't know what it was. Maybe it was time for him to let someone knew in. It could be her, a little girl that needs a home, he could do that. 

Before giving himself anymore time to think he walked over to the nearest toy store, not saying a word to Simon, and bought a little stuffed rabbit. He hid the toy behind his back and walked right past Simon and knelt down in front of the child with a small smile on his face hoping not to scare her. "Hi sweetheart, my names Zayn what's yours?" The little girl hesitates a little, still clutching to this woman's leg. "H-Haley." She stutters a little from the crying. "You have no reason to be afraid of me I promise." Zayn says to Haley. She shakes her head OK. "Can you tell me how old you are?" He asks."This many." She says and holds up 6 fingers." Zayn laughs a little, he really needs her to not be scared of him. "I have something for you." He pulls the bunny out from behind his back. Her eyes light up a little bit and Zayn can't help but smile. She lets go of the woman's leg and wraps her small arms around the bunny tightly. It's strange how something as simple as having a stuffed animal to hold can make you feel better. Zayn lifts his hand to her cheek slowly in case she backs away from him, but she doesn't, so he wipes the tears from her face. "Would you like to come home with me, I have a biiiiigggg house that you can run around in and play for hours. It can be your house not just mine, I can keep you safe, would you like that?" Haley waits a second and then mumbles a yes. She looks at the big man and smiles a little before walking closer to him and wrapping both her arms around his neck and hugs him while still holding onto the bunny. She doesn't want to let go in case it's all another dream. Zayn senses that she isn't letting go so he just picks her up and starts walking to his car. 

Simon follows behind him with a bunch of clothes and things that his wife bought her while they were waiting for Zayn to show up. Zayn opens the back door to his car and buckles her in, she's still holding onto the bunny. He walks over and helps putting everything in the back of the car. Zayn and Simon share a nod as a way of saying thank you, and then they part ways. 

As Zayn is pulling up to his house he looks in the rear view mirror and sees Haley's face light up after seeing the size of his house. "It's like you have your own castle." She said. Zayn turns around and looks at her. "Well it's your castle now sweetheart." A huge smile grows on her face at Zayn's  words. Zayn gets out and opens her door letting her out. "Come on, there's someone I want you to meet." She nods her head OK and then wraps her little fingers around his hand as he leads her into her happily ever after.
