her feet made a small hole in the beach, resting, when water came, it filled up it and left with leaving some behind. the book on her lap was soaked by the saltwater. she was completely bored out of her mind. her best friend made her come to the beach with her to "check out some attractive guys". but jade didn't see any handsome guys, or if she did they were to far away to be noticed.

"jade...twelve o'clock". audrey whispered, coming closer. she put on her sunglasses.

"gosh they are so hot, i need eye protection".

jade laughed, which made her pale face turn bright tomato red. she covered her face with her hands.

it's one of her insecurities, among many things she thinks is wrong about her, but all of those things make her beautiful.

"i never seen them before" jade casually said, "they're cute, especially the one who's short"

audrey laughed and nodded. you could say the two girls were boy crazy. despite them never having a boyfriend or had their first kiss; well audrey kissed a boy in our neighborhood which was a dare.

the boys, five boys in fact, started to stare at the girls. jade quickly turned around.

"jade, lets go in the water. to show off". audrey convinced jade, while smirking.

jade smiles and nods. jade stands up, puts the book on her chair and runs into the ocean with audrey.

they run into the ocean, laughing while, water splashing them.

hopefully they notice them, after all audrey was wearing a hot pink bikini. however jade was wearing a baby blue tankini.

then they begin splashing each other, audrey smacked the water with her hand which made water go into jade's mouth. jade spit the water out gracefully and began laughing hysterically .

at the corner of her eye, she saw the most beautifulest guys coming her way, they were running at them.

the one that's short smile was the smile that you remember. the thing you remember about them.

they boys got in a couple feet away from them but it felt like it was a mile to them.

jade and audrey started to do a headstand contest. jade had no air left in her lungs, so she came out to take a another deep breath but something hit her in the back of the head.

jade muttered an ow and looked behind her.

the one that had the gorgeous smile was right behind her. she started grabbing the ball and so did he. they both touched each other's hands, but pulled away quickly.

"uh-h im sorry..." he stuttered, rubbing the back of his brown hair head.

"it's okay". she said causally but mentally her mind was going crazy.

then he swam away, joining his friends again.

jade sighed, then audrey popped up.

"i won....what did i miss". audrey said.

jade hugged her best friend and laughed.

"i'm having a number twenty-five emergency , aud "

"jade....sleepover at my house tonight". audrey said

jade nodded, with a huge smile creeping up on her face.
