"isn't this beautiful"? jade asked joey.

they were currently by the lighthouse, sitting on a bench admiring the view.

joey turned, facing jade. "yeah definitely what im-we're seeing is truly one of a kind".

jade smiled. "i love it here, my mom and i used to come here on the time". jade quietly said.

"what happened". joey asked, curiosity in his eyes.

jade quickly froze, then relaxed knowing it's joey. thinking you known him for a couple days. it's time.

"my mom smoked a lot...did drugs when i was little. when my mom finally agreed to stop—for herself, my dad and i, she got pneumonia and couldn't beat it". jade said, a tear slipping out of her eye.

immediately, joey wrapped his arms around her and wiped the tear off.

"oh gosh, i'm so embarrassed". jade confessed.

"don't be. everyone goes through stuff, and sometimes you just have to cry, to let it out". joey said.

"thanks joe".

after comforting her for some time, they decided to go to one of jade's favorite places.

the museum of art.

her town was most known for the museum and delicious crab cakes.

"wait you like art too"? joey asked jade, walking up the steps to the museum. joey honestly thought he was the only teenager that liked art, which made jade even more special.

" i love it, i try to draw, paint and stuff". jade looked to the concrete ground. "but i guess it never will compare".

"well jade i guess i have to look at some of your work. because i probably will beg to differ". joey laughed, "unless you're really bad and all". joey continued.

jade hit his shoulder.

soon they begin admiring a artwork that was a vase with white, red and a mixture of the two colors flowers in it. joey looked below the painting to see.

vase of peonies by claude monet

"i love monet". jade quietly said. "he was so talented".

joey agreed. he couldn't believe he was looking at a painting that was created in the nineteenth century and still in good condition.

joey and jade decided to play a game, who ever finds the most beautiful painting, the other person has to buy something for the other person at the museum gift shop.

"joey. i have been here a thousand times. i'm going to win". jade said.

joey laughed, realizing she has an advantage. they spilt up and went on hunting.

jade went upstairs and joey stayed on the level, that he already was in.

jade loved nature paintings, so she decided the old mill by albert bierstadt. basically it was a small cottage and surrounding it was lush green trees.

joey was fond of portraits so he went with a more well known canvas; the girl with the pearl earring by johannes vermeer.

--

the two asked a worker, and she said "i think joe won...sorry jade".

the two laughed, jade got joe a t-shirt saying "grab the monet, let's gogh - bank robbers"

joe insisted it was fine, but "a deal is a deal joe".

after that they begin walking around the whole town. jade giving a very in depth tour. but soon jade realized it was time to pick up her sister. then joey remembered he had to go home to help his mother cook dinner.

the two parted ways, smiles on both of their faces.
