"so where are you guys from"? audrey asks, looking down our table.

"boston". joey replied, looking at the girl in front of him, but jade was looking for her dad and little sister who's eight, so she didn't notice joey staring.

"that's cool, how did you guys find long beach"? audrey asks out of curiosity. the population is basically two thousand, so newcomers are rare.

the boys hesitated, looked at each other for a moment like they were hiding some secret. "well, we wanted a vacation, and long beach was a perfect place, you know"? jordan said, fixing his hat.

audrey nodded, and jade finally spotted her father and sister.

"i'm going to get some strawberry lemonade...anyone want to come with me"? jade said, her throat suddenly became dry.

"i'll come". joey said, getting up from his seat.

once joey was next to jade. she felt his warm breath on her. "so are you having fun"? jade asked, the two of them reaching the drink table.

"i guess, i mean yeah". joey smiled.

"that's cool". jade said, grabbing a plastic cup and about the pitcher.

"no, please let me pour". joey insisted, pouring red liquid into the clear cup.

joey handed jade her cup and put the pitcher back down.

"i love this song"! jade yelled to joey over the loud noise.

"me too! want to dance"? joey said loudly.

jade shook her head, "i'm a terrible dancer"!

joey ignored her and grabbed her soft hand onto the crowded dance floor.

they began dancing to the upbeat song.

"see! this isn't terrible". joey whispered into her ear.

jade gave him a huge smile and nodded.

after dancing  for a bit, joey and jade decided to go back to their seats to rest.

"that was fun". jade said, folding her hands on the table. "and how are you so good at dancing? you should be a professional dancer"! jade exclaimed.

"aw thanks jade". joey said, placing his right hand on his heart.

jade giggled. "honestly could you teach me? i think i need help".

"of course"! joey said, smiling.

then jade saw it was ten o'clock, "joey...i have to go". jade said, turning.

"please let me walk you home". joey insisted.

and so he did. on their way to jade's house, they talked about school, the future (joey wanted to be a teacher and jade a veterinarian since she loved animals), and their hobbies.

once they got there, jade said "thank you for hanging with me tonight".

"it was my pleasure. see you tomorrow"? joey asked and jade nodded.

one thing for sure is joey, jordan, jon, donnie and danny look so familiar! but jade couldn't put her hands on what it was.
