little after that, they decided to go to jade's home, to ask her dad for permission to sleepover at audrey's house.

"but if there's any boys, i want you to come home immediately". jade's dad continued.

jade nodded, "yes sir". jade respectfully said.

"okay, have fun—but not too much fun". her dad gave in.

"i love you, papa". jade kissed his cheek and left with a grin on her olive skin face.

audrey was waiting outside of her home, so it wasn't a surprise when audrey saw jade come out very happy.

"thank the cheese, you're coming! i thought if you didn't come out sooner your neighbors will go to the police reporting a stalker lurking around your house, jade"! jade's best friend whispered to her.

jade snorted. jade gasped but she smiled. soon after audrey and jade began talking about what they were going to do at audrey's house and after talking, they were at audrey's vibrant green home.

"mom! dad! brother ronald! we are home!" audrey announced, when they were in the mud room taking off their cheap flip flops.

her mom and dad were working and probably won't be home until a while and her brother was in the kitchen eating.

audrey walked into the kitchen, with jade trailing behind her, no matter how many sleepovers they have, jade still feels like she's a guest while audrey felt like she was a part of jade's family.

audrey gasped, "ronnie! that's for tomorrow"!

once a month the whole small town meets at the community center, eat dinner together, dance to the town band and have a good time.

and coincidently, tomorrow is the time of the month.

"hey! sorry i love your potato salad!" ronnie said, using love so audrey would be flattered and  she would not yell at her older brother.

sadly, it didn't work. "ugh! ronald dutch valentine"! audrey yelled, rubbing her temples.

then ronnie began to run, but audrey was faster. audrey tackled him onto the living room rug.

jade began laughing, she had to cover her mouth because she was laughing too much.

then ronnie tried to get up, using a small table for support, he didn't realize the table was not sturdy. or the table had their parents priceless wedding vase on it. he stood up and the vase fell backward. smashed to the ground.

piece by piece.

all three of them looked at each other. "let's blame it on the cat". ronnie said, breaking the silence.

the two girls nod.

hopefully audrey's parents don't find out the truth.
