LILY'S POV
Iinchou, the class top 1 who went out on a vacation, lost his alice. Who is capable of doing this?
"Aren't you worried?" I asked Alex, whom I knew was just outside the window
"Why would I be?" She asks
"Oh yeah right. Why am I asking you this" I muttered to myself
"Don't worry, I'll be the one to protect you"Alex says jumping down from the window
What is protecting someone? Is it merely protecting them from harm? Or is it making others depend on you?
But that's what I should be worrying over. What I should worry over is that....
They're after us.....
THE NEXT DAY
"S-sensei?! H-how is Iinchou?" Mikan asks the Naru-sensei that have just came in
"He's alright but if he doesn't get his alice soon....."Naru-sensei trailed off
"Then what happens?" Anna asks
"He'll get expelled"
I looked down on the floor when I felt Alex react on what Naru-sensei said. Is this supposed to be a warning?
"Involving innocent people in our personal problems, they're really pushy aren't they?" Alex says sarcastically
"Will it result to violence?"
"More or less"
"You're not gonna leave me, right?" I asked, tugging her uniform
She seemed surprised with my question that she dropped her precious umbrella.
"Haha~ 'course not stupid because I'm gonna protect you" She replied, patting my head
When she smiles like that, it lightens my heart. Is this what I want to protect or is it just I'm afraid to be alone?
"H-hey! W-why are you crying? I-is your stomach hurt?" Alex asks continuously that I burst out laughing
"I just realized something important, today I'm gonna promise to protect you to all extent"
"A sister's promise is stronger than the toughest steel, okay?"
"Okay ^-^"
As we wrapped our pinky fingers together, a blast from the gates had surprised everyone.
BOOM! ○○●●○○●●●○○○●●
"Everyone get in your dorms now! Hurry!!" Naru-sensei instructed everyone in panic
"Hurry Lily, run faster!" Alex urges as we ran hand in hand

"I can't run anymore" I said as I fell on the floor
"No, I can't leave you behind!" Alex contradicts and tries to carry me
She gave me piggy-back ride. Her body is only a 15 year old, how can she carry me at this state? We were moving but even slower than a turtle's pace.
"You can go first" I urge
"I won't leave you behind"
"You'll die"
"It's better to die knowing you tried than living regretting that you should have done something when you can"
"I don't want to die but if living means being alone without you, I'd better die"
"You can say that but.... why are you crying?"
