"You my darling Alexendra promised to grace me with your presence for lunch" Ashton says closing my macbook and kissing me.

"I was still busy you know" I say eyeing his hand which is still on my macbook.

"It's lunch now, you don't want me to drag you out of here" he says smirking. Knowing Ashton I am certain that he is going to actually drag me out of here so I take my bag and leave with him for lunch.

After lunch I get to the office and I find Cynthia waiting for me with an anxious face. I later found out that this was because my sister has been giving her a hard time, apparently she called my office seven times while I was out. I reluctantly call my sister because I know she is not going to let me go, the lady might even show up in my office for all I know.

"Alexendra why haven't you been answering my calls? I called your phone ten times and your office seven times" she scolds.

"I am sorry I was out for lunch and I accidentally left my phone."

"At least you weren't stuck in that huge office of yours for lunch, why do you need such a huge space though? You know what I don't think I want to know, I just wanted to remind you of Matthew's birthday party later today" she says finally ending her rant.

"Do you honestly think that I would forget my nephew's birthday?" I ask guilt ridden, I totally forgot about my nephew's birthday.

"Yes, yes I do. You forgot to come to his christening and you came a day earlier for his first birthday party and never actually showed up on the actual day" she retorts.

"Are you ever going to let that go?" I ask defeated.

"Not until you learn to prioritise, you have become a workaholic ever since you left the previous company and became the CEO of Cybernetics Incorporated."

"Athena, I am so not a workaholic."

"Whatever makes you feel better, anyways I have to get back to preparing for Matthew's birthday."

"Bye" I say relieved.

I leave work earlier to go buy some presents for Matthew. Unfortunately I get to the party an hour late. I find Athena angrily waiting for me. Emily just shrugs her shoulders and leaves us in the kitchen.

"You are late!" Athena says angrily.

"I am sorry I got carried away while I was shopping for some stuff for Matthew" I say honestly.

"Fine, but in order for me to forgive you, you are going to have to throw me a baby shower" she says smiling.

"You are pregnant! I am so happy for you! So now you and Emily are both pregnant I think I am going to need a bunch of advils to keep up" I say hugging her.

"You irritate me sometimes you know, but really though don't throw me a baby shower" she says seriously.

"Seriously? But why not? " I ask pretending to be heartbroken.

"Do you really want to know?" She says raising an eyebrow.

"Nope, I was just asking because I really thought I would turn into a mermaid Athena" I say rolling my eyes.

"You are something else," she says irritated," well a) you don't know how to throw parties, b) your style sucks and c) your style sucks.

"I don't understand what is wrong with my style" I say feeling a little sad.

"So you telling me that black and white in everything is completely normal" she says eyeing my outfit. Which was just black on black.

"Well not everything, there is also the exception of violet" I say in a otios attempt to prove Athena wrong. She gives me a pitiful look and goes to where everyone is seated. After two straight hours the party finally ends.

Xavior offers to drive me home since Chris my driver had an emergency. Over the past year since we have met, Xavior and I are pretty close, he is the older brother I never had and I'm the younger sister he never had but one could say we grew up together well, according to Emily.

I get to the house and I find Ashton sitting on the couch busy on his macbook probably waiting for me. Ever since we bought the house whenever I come back home late without notifying him he always waits up.

"Hey Ash" I say kissing him.

"Hey, if you don't mind me asking where were you?" he asks closing his macbook.

"I was at Athena's place for Matthew's birthday party" I say walking past him. He quickly stands up and holds me by my waist.

"I missed you" he says leaving trails of kisses on my neck.

"You did" I say pretending to be surprised.

"You really can't act can you?" He says turning me around and kissing me before I can say anything.

"Honesty is a good virtue" I say breaking our kiss.
