Their Secret

Blinding

I wake up to a loud knock on my hotel room door. I reluctantly get up and go and see who it is. Unfortunately the person making this commotion is non other than Ashton Parker himself. I decide to close that door but unfortunately he stops this from happening.

"What do you want?" I ask coldly.

"So this is where you have been hiding" he says coming inside.

"So you wanted to see where I have been hiding? Rita must be boring you already" I say laying down on one of the couches and fiddling on my phone.

"How long do you plan on staying here?" He asks sitting down on the opposite couch.

"Well, as long as I feel like it" I say nonchalantly.

"Are you going to apologise for what you did?" He asks seriously.

"What I did? Ashton get out!" I say irritated.

"Still going to deny it? I never thought you were such a coward" he says disgusted.

"Will you leave my sister alone" Xavior says. I didn't even hear him coming inside.

"Not until she tells me the truth" he says irritated.

"You are really pathetic, you are honestly going to believe someone that faked her death over me? Why don't you just check the footages? I didn't lure your child to the garage so that I can run him over and I am certain the footages will tell you that" I say angrily. I can't believe he didn't even check the footages from the cameras in the garage, how stupid is that really and now I am being accused of a crime I didn't even commit. Ashton leaves after my outburst.

I spend my day with Xavior talking about random things. He leaves for his shift at the hospital and I am once again alone. After some time alone I hear a knock on the door and to my surprise I find Greyson on the other side of the door.

"Greyson, what are doing here?" I ask astonished.

"I thought I should come check up on, it's been a week since I have seen you what's going on?" He asks getting inside.

"I, well I think you should ask your brother and his fiancée" I say bitterly.

"You mean Ashton and Rita are back together? No wonder why she has been acting like she owns the place. Joanne and Claire hate her by the way" he says sitting on the couch.

"I don't know, all I know is that Rita accused me of trying to kill her child. I mean why would I want to kill him?" I say irritated.

"I heard. I don't believe her though, Rita is shady."

"How did you find me?" I ask since I didn't give anyone the details but my brother.

"Mafia secrets" he says smirking. I should have known.

I spend almost the whole night with Greyson watching movies and eating pizza. While I am watching a movie I find myself slowly falling asleep on Greyson's lap until I succumb to my fatigue.

I wake up to find to find Ashton and Greyson having a loud fight. I realise that I am no longer on the couch but on the bed and that the sun is already up. I quickly get up and find Ashton angrily shouting at Greyson.

"You guys are making a noise" I say irritated.

"I think I am going to leave now" Greyson says giving me hug.

"I'll see you later" I say as he exits the hotel room.

"So you and Greyson are now best friends?" Ashton asks his voice clearly laced with jealousy.

"What do you want?" I ask coldly

"I am sorry for not believing you I really am I don't know what came over me" he says running his hand through his hair.

"Ok, apology accepted" I say curtly.

"Are you coming back home?"

"No, I don't want to be accused of things I didn't do. I think I will stay here for a while" I say running my hand through my messy hair.

"The nightmares are back" he says holding my hand and examining the abrasions on my wrist. The first year after I lost my  baby I had these really bad nightmares where I would unconsciously scratch my wrists during my sleep to the point where I would wake up with bloodied hands. Ashton and Xavior are the only two people that know about them but Ashton is the only one that knows the real reason behind them.

"No they are not" I blurt out and jerk my hand away from him.

"Don't lie to me" he says looking me straight in the eyes.

"Please leave" I say avoiding his gaze.

"I am not going anywhere Alex" he says sitting down.

"Ashton I said get out!" I say loosing my composure.

"I am not leaving you" he says stubbornly.

"Fine" I say and go to the bathroom and brush my teeth and take a shower and put on something decent to wear.

"I'm going to Kyle's place. You better be gone when I come back" I say bitterly and leave.
