Tattoo it on me,
tattoo it all.
I want to be a walking tapestry
of my thoughts and words.
Ink me wings to let me fly,
push that symbol onto my hip.
And oh don't be gentle,
give me the pain of your needles.
Tattoo me to be a living book
with the beauty of poetry pierced onto my flesh.
For words only live in us
for as long as we live in them.
