Parent Bonding (Rex)

A/N: Sup Yall! I decided to wrote this chapter because Me and my real Dad spent actual time together yesterday for the first time in a while! Hope yall enjoy!

Rex was cleaning a rebel cruiser when Arena crawled up to him and hugged his leg.

"Dada?" Arena said questionably. It's been a month since Arena said her first word. Since then, Ahsoka and Ezra had used flashcards to get her to learn more. She knew about 7-8 words now.

"Yeah, Princess?" Rex said, still working on the ship, not looking at Arena.

"I wana pway with you." Arena said, trying to make out the words.

"Baby, Daddy can't play right now." He said, picking Arena up. Arena gave a pouty face with the puppy dog eyes and Rex couldn't help but laugh.

"C'mon Rex, play with her for a bit." A voice came from behind. Rex turned around and grinned. It was Ahsoka.

"You've barely spent any time with Arena. C'mon, She's your daughter too." Ahsoka said walking up to Rex.

"Soka I wish I could, but I gotta clean the sh-" Rex was cut off.

"I will. Go take her to the beach or something." Ahsoka said putting her hands in her pockets.

Arena gasped and started flailing her arms around in Rex's arms and the thought of going to the beach.

"Thanks." Rex mouthed to Ahsoka. She laughed and kissed Rex.

"EW!" Arena yelled. Ahsoka started chuckling.

"Love you too, Ladybug" Ahsoka said kissing Arena on the head. "Let's go, Princess." Rex said, walking to a ship and waving bye to Ahsoka. Ahsoka waved back and started working on the ship.

Rex and Arena were flying to the beach on Atallon, when Arena asked something.

"Stars?..." Arena said sadly, looking around the window for any Stars.

"Uh. Princess, there aren't any stars here since we aren't in Space." Rex said awkwardly to Arena.

Arena gasped and it looked like she was about to start crying. Tears were already welling up.

"No, no, no ,no ,no ,no ,no!" Rex said getting up and picking Arena up and putting her in his lap. She started sobbing. Rex put his index finger and thumb on his eyebrows as the ship flew.

This is going to be a long flight to the beach. (Poor Rex 😂)

Arena eventually stopped crying after the Star Tantrum. Rex was never more relived in his life.

"Hey Baby, we're here!" Rex said.

Arena's head popped up and looked out the window to the ocean. Rex picked her up and parked the ship.

There wasn't anybody there, obviously, so they were free to just walk. They reached the water and Arena reached out to the waves. Rex giggled. He put Arena down and he sat down on the pure white sand.

Arena crawled to the water and sat down in it, getting her violet shorts complete wet. Rex considered getting her out of the water at that moment, but she looked like she was having fun so he just watched the waves and Arena.

Arena started splashing the water getting her yellow tshirt a little wet, but it was Ok to Rex apparently. Rex decided to go in the water with Arena.
