Rwby: The Vigilante

Chapter 7

You walk into your dorm, sighing as you flop on your bed. You close your eyes, as your mind drifts, trying to solve the problem that the prey knows that they are hunted. You roll over and grab your helmet, putting it on.
"Any increase in White Fang activity?" You ask
Your HUD shows no increase in activity
"Shit they've gone underground" you sigh, taking the helmet off 
There is a knock on your door, you place the helmet on your bed before walking to the door.
"Hello, Y/n" Red greets, holding a suit bag
"Hey Red, come in before someone sees you. Where's Dembe?" You say, letting him in and closing the door
"He's busy delivering tonight's dress to your lady friend, as I am delivering your suit" he answers, placing the bag down on your bed
He picks up your helmet, examining it.
"I see my handiwork has kept you safe" he smiles
"Yep, as has the rest of my armour" you reply, taking off your holsters
"Good I have a gift for you" he says, plugging something into your helmet
He places the helmet down, before offing you a small earpiece. You place it in your left ear.
"Greetings, Vigilante. My name is Alex" a male robotic voice says
"Who are you?" You ask, surprised
"I am an artificial intelligence, linked to your helmet and this earpiece. I will monitor your life signs, provide situational awareness, problem solving and tactical advice" Alex responds
"Woah Red, this is cool" you laugh
"I know, he's also good at hacking. Thought you might be able to use him" Red plainly says
"Hey Alex, can you call me Vigilante only when other people can hear. If it's just us, call me Y/n" you smile
"As you wish, Y/n" he replies
You smile and take the earpiece out, placing it on your desk. Red stands and walks to the door before turning around.
"Meet me outside Beacon at 7" he smiles.
You nod as he walks out of the room.

You undress and take a shower, wrapping a towel around your waist you open the suit bag. You see a black and grey three piece suit, with a black bow tie and black shoes. At the bottom of the bag is a box, with two gold cuff links.
"Wow Red, you went full out" you whistle
You get dressed, the suit fitting perfectly. You smile at your reflection in the mirror, before placing the earpiece back in.
"I must remind you of your appointment in ten minutes, Y/n" Alex states
"Thanks Alex" you respond, quickly fastening your holster on.
You walk out your dorm and make your way to RWBYs dorm. You knock on the door, Ruby answers.
"Hey" she greets
"Hey Rubes, Yang ready?" You ask
"Yeah, she'll be out soon. You guys on a date?" She asks blushing
You look at her, she almost seems sad.
"No just a friendly meal" you smile
"Woah, you look rather dashing Y/n. Hey Blake, come see this" Weiss says, after spotting you
Blake walks into view.
"You should see Yang" Blake adds
As if on cue Yang steps into view. She is wearing a yellow dress that stops just after the knee. He is also wearing yellow high heals and a lilac necklace. In her hands is a gold bag. She blushes once she sees you looking at her.
"Is the mighty Yang Xiao Long, blushing?" You question
"Yeah, I'm used to my clothes, this is new" she answers, huffing
"Well you look lovely" you smile, offering to our arm
She smiles and links arms, you both walk out of the dorm and make your way out of beacon. As you walk, whispers from the students echo around you both. Ozpin and Glynda walk up to you.
"Well don't you both look lovely" Ozpin smiles
"Thanks, sir" you reply
"Don't forget curfew" Glynda states
"I'm sure these two know the curfew, but I wouldn't mind if they were a little late. Goodnight you two, enjoy yourselves" Ozpin smiles  
Glynda sighs, causing you you smile. You both walk outside and see Red and Dembe.
Red gestures to the car before getting in, you open the door for Yang. She gets in, then you walk around and get in the other side.
"I must inform you, I have access to most of Vale's infrastructure and cctv" Alex says into your ear
"Thanks Alex" you whisper

The car stops outside of a fancy restaurant in downtown Vale. You all step out of the car. Red walks into the building, You follow him, Yang not far behind. You all sit down at a table.
"What would you like to drink?" Red asks
"Whiskey please" you ask
"Strawberry sunrise, no ice" Yang bluntly responds
Red sighs, detecting the hostility toward him.
"You know they do delicious slushies" Red states
"I don't want a slushie" she returns
"The grapefruit is simply to die for. It's like you, a little sour" Red smirks
You laugh, earning you a punch from Yang.
"This is Red, who has a Criminal empire, who made money by selling Kingdom secrets" she says through gritted teeth
"And he's been helping me fight crime and save villages" you sigh 
She sighs and leans back on her seat.
"Can we just talk about business?" She sighs 
"Sinclair was the head of robotics R and D for the Atlas military. Most of his file is covered in black ink, so I'll need more time to get the details" Red answers
"Robots? I don't think his death was an accident" Yang exclaims
"Agreed, though they've had the 130s out for a while. Do you think there is a new model of robot being developed?" You ask
"Yeah, not only was Sinclair a pioneer in robotics, he was also lead researcher in the development of the first human-like robot" Red adds
"Shit, now that sounds like something someone would kill over" you say, running your hand through your hair
The waiter returns, placing down the drinks you ordered. However Yangs drink is a mix of green and blue.
"This isn't what I asked for?" Yang states
"Try it" Red smiles
She hesitantly takes a sip, she smiles.
"This is good, it tastes like..." Yang thinks
"Tastes like spring" Red smiles
Yang nods, the waiter returns.
"Now what would you like to eat?" Red asks
