Rwby: The Vigilante

Chapter 5

Sorry for my absence I my computer hard drive was corrupted. I lost most of my work, stories and college work. So I have been working to meet my college deadlines after starting from scratch. But now that's over I can restart on my stories.

Vigilante 5

Ruby's eyes flutter open, a light breeze rolls through the open window. She rolls over in her bed and sees Yang stumbling towards the bathroom. Ruby rubs her eyes and looks over to Blake, who is reading her book in bed. Ruby sits up and dangles her legs over her bed, she shifts her weight forwards and lightly lands on the floor. She quickly walks over to her bag and opens it, Blake slightly lifts her eyes from her book to look at Ruby. Ruby pulls out a whistle, Blake looks at it and at the sleeping Weiss, a smile creeps across her face.

You smash through the window of your dorm, bits of wall and window litter your floor.
"Jesus, I need a runway or something" you laugh, dusting yourself off
You walk over to your bed and start to take off your armour and clothes, a light trickle of red dribbles down your skin from a open wound.
"New badge, sweet" you sigh.
You walk over to your bag and get your medic kit, you quickly seal your wounds, grunting as it burns your flesh. Binding the wound, you walk over to your bathroom and start to shower.

You finish drying yourself and wrap the towel around your waist. You open your door to see Glynda sat on the edge of your bed, her eyes glued to her scroll.
Her blank face makes it hard to read her. Yet her body language says otherwise, her left leg crossed over her right. With her right foot tapping the floor, her left hand tucked beneath her chest. Her fingers lightly tapping her side. You look at her neck, you can see her jugulars lightly stretching her skin with every fast beat. Worried?

"You look nervous, you've got some textbook ticks. I wouldn't blame you, you have a reason to be nervous. If anyone were to catch us like this, me in a scantily clad towel" you laugh, walking over to your uniform.
"Well, I thought I should scold you for breaking your window yet again" she stutters, blushing red
"Phrasing, people have dirty minds" you quip, causing her to sigh
She unfolds her crop and walks to the gap in the wall, while her back is turned you start to get dressed. She flicks her wrist and all the rubble starts to neatly fly back into place.she turns around as you finish putting your pants and shirt on.
"I know about last night, the village in Haven" she says
"Alright?" You question
"I must congratulate on your intervention, but you mustn't be getting enough rest. Rest is the most important thing for huntsmen and Huntresses, you're no use to anyone when you are too exhausted to fight" she says walking towards you
"I'll be fine, I'll just fight harder and longer when I need to" you reply, attempting to tie your tie.
Glynda smiles, and strides over to you. She take your tie and starts to tie it for you.
"Did I just see you smile?" You laugh
"Seeing you fumble with your tie would make anyone smile" she replies
She finishes your tie and steps back. You slip on your blazer and fasten it.
"It suits you" she says, looking you up and down
"Yeah I think it does, anyways I'll see you later. Lesson starts in 20 minutes" you smile
She nods as you head out of the door, Glynda not being far behind.

You walk to your scheduled lesson, Professor Ports class. You open the doors and walk in.
"Ahh a student eager to learn, please my boy come in" Port gestures
"Thank you sir" you say walking to a seat.
"My dear boy, you are a hero. The Vigilante in my classroom!" He exclaims, smiling
"Just doing my job" you smile back
You sit down and watch the teacher write some things one chalk board, you glance at it and see the weaknesses of Grimm. Other students start to arrive and take their seats, the professor walks to the front of the class and clears his throat. Suddenly the door swings open and  Team RWBY and JNPR stumble through.

They take their seats, RWBY sitting in your row and JNPR sitting a few rows down. Port starts to talk about the weaknesses of Grimm, but then starts to talk about his youth. You start to fade in and out of concentration until.
"Would anyone like to demonstrate?" He asks
You raise your hand and so does Weiss
"Ho Ho, good thing I have to two. Come, come show us what you've got" he says, gesturing to the arena.
Weiss stands and elegantly walks away to change into her combat clothes. You disappear in a cloud of smoke and reappear in the arena.
"Not wearing any armour?" Port asks
"No wont take that long, Boarbatusk right?" You reply
He nods as Weiss walks into the arena. Port raises his weapon and releases the Grimm. Two boarbatusks walk out, one charges towards Weiss as one heads towards you. You close your eyes and mentally focus on the Grimm in front of you.
