LETTING GO TO HOLD ON

Tuesday was parents day at Molly's school and what she wasn't expecting was both her parents to show up Anna Kay saw them pulled in the drive way and point molly to their direction
"Sweet !"Jessica said " so your parents are back together ?" She ask.
"I'm sure they're just here for parents day" molly said
"You said that as if theirs no chance of them getting back together,
" those are  your parents? " Harry ask whistling at the sight of Molly's mom.
"Yes !"Jessica said "her dad is hot!"
"I think they look perfect together" Todd said,
"But they're not together
They were heading toward the  group of parents walking by then not knowtisting them standing there,
"Miss Flemming's Mr Graham" Anna Kay called when she ran to them  Markus was the first to  put his arm around her,
"How are you?" He ask
"I'm fine sir its been a long time " she giggle Marcia touch her face " how is mom?"
Anna Kay turn her head as they follow her detection they saw both her parents waving at  them then walk on over molly was standing in her dad's arm holding on to her mother Randy his dad  and step mom were heading toward their group as Jessica parents as both join then so did Harry's dad Todd and his parents  and sister reach them just a little before Randy  came to a stop by them his parents introduce themselves as they were meeting for the first time "this is Randy my son" his step mother said Marcia turn her attention to the handsome light skin tone boy tall enough for her  to look in his face, she extend an arm "randy Thomas is right? I heard about you"
He smile taking her hand she introduce Markus to them Randy was use to seeing Markus Graham in the paper but meeting him for the first time shaking hand with him the father of the girl he like wondering if he will approve him dating his daughter
" nice meeting you all " Markus said with a smile shaking hands around again suddenly it feels like we're one big family, doesn't it Marcie ?" He ask resting a hand on Marcia shoulder and she gave a smile
"He's right and since our children are all hanging out we should at lease have each others number giving out both home and cellphone her work number as well Jessica mom believe it was the best idea
" we are indeed parents and all good parents should know who their children hang with
Harry's dad smile agreeing for much as he lives alone with his son and was a working father he too would take the time to know what type of people his friends family were.
After speaking around with teachers they were all ready to leave Anna Kay and her parents were waiting for Molly and hers by the car they could take home their child, and with them off work for the day they were going to have lunch randy and his parents came and Marcia invite them to come along randy step mom gladly accept they plan and meet at Mackey's fast food where they spend a few hours but it break when Markus brother called wanting to meet with him he and Marcia left saying they will call,
Wednesday they all were talking about the day before
"I think your parents deserve each other" harry said "just like me and my Jessica" he hug her and kiss her cheek they all find it funny and laugh
"What are you doing for your birthday? Jessica ask
And now everyone wanted to know for who didn't have a party went out,
of the group molly was the only one who haven't celebrate her birthday yet come November twenty seventh which is  next Friday it will be her sixteen birthday but she didn't have a plan
" maybe Randy will take you out" Jessica said
Molly wasn't sure her parents will allow that she kept quiet about Jessica suggestion not that she wouldn't want to do something on her birthday but she was sure her parents were going to do it like always the four if them spend it together cut cake and sing Happy birthday, she  didn't hear them  mention it again from they last did two weeks ago, now molly didn't know they were planning a birthday party  it was going to be her first very party at sixteen it was a surprise as well,
Timothy Mackey was a friend of both Markus and Marcia they've gone through highschool together and remain friends he was renting them the restaurant for the evenings event,
Markus put Marcia in charge of the invitations she has send them out but because the number of her daughter's friends parents were all in her contact she was calling to inform them by words as well as send the invitation, she   dial the number that of Randy's parents house his step mother answer it was their second time talking over the phone since that lunch day, she ask how Randy was doing in school, inquire for  the other children as well, after that Marcia started to tell her about the party for her daughter
" you're allow to bring a friend"
Marcia told Camile who was looking forward to it since her husband weren't home she was told to talk to him about it,
After hanging up she called Jessica's house her parents were still in readying to go out so she was quick with what she have to say, most her morning she spend calling Godfrey was the last person she got for she wasn't leaving him out he thank her so much for inviting him
"It means a lot to me"
"Anytime" Marcia said disconnecting the call she was on her way to work when Markus call wanting to talk about sex they have few nights before but Marcia wasn't interested in that so they settled for party talk, later that night when the children were asleep he stop by with a box of half cold pizza and a six pack of beer that they started but ended up having sex on the living room floor after they were done having sex Markus reach out  for another slice of pizza that was even more cold now
"I'm not going to force it" he said tasting  it in the box he lean in to kiss her 
" baby " he said.
"I know you have to go " Marcia said kissing him she held his face in her palm closed her eyes and breathe  deeply  "Markus  I love you" she whispered "I've never stop loving you" the room was too silent Marcia thought she was alone but Markus was staring her down when she open her eyes
"What must I do to make it right?"
" Markus you know you can't hold on to the two end of the rope you have to let go to hold on, at some point in time Markus knew he was going to have to let go to hold on he also knew letting go is going to be much easier  than holding on but he so badly want to hold on to what he has with Marcia.
" beg me to stay and I will" he told her
Marcia rub his face then kiss him "please stay the night with me"
She didn't have to ask twice he spend the night sleep in late both the children were in the kitchen when he walk in
"Dad!" They both express but before they could leave their seat he stop then and come over Marcia gave him a cup of coffee  scramble egg and brown bread
The children wonder if he had spend the night or was it he just came early they look at them in suspicious,
"Who want a ride to school?" Markus ask Pushing his plate away and getting up
"I do" Molly said 
"Me too!" Jeremy said
"OK get your teeth brush" Marcia said and the children went to do what was told of them.
Markus clear the table while he wait making small talks with Marcia when she does the dishes they were by the sink when Markus kiss her Molly came in to find them kissing and wait a while before trowing them apart.
"Dad" she called Markus pulled himself away from Marcia turning to face molly.
"Ready honey?" He ask
" yes dad " she fight to conceal her joy,
"Where's your brother?"
"Here dad " Jeremy said "bye mom" he hug her before going out the door
"See you later mom " molly put her arms around her mother hugging her from behind,
"I love you so much mom," she rest her head on her back Marcia wonder if what she heard in her daughter breathing was contentment or  frustration wondering if it upset her seeing them kissing she let go and head for the door with out looking back. glad  for the chance to have her a lone again he took her in  his arms and hold her there for a while.
"Mom and dad was in there kissing !" Molly share excitedly with her brother for they both want then to get back together
"Are you sure?" Jeremy ask,
"I saw them Jeremy they're probably doing it now"
"I want to see " as he was going to run back Molly sight her dad coming and pull him back held him as he struggle.
" daddy is coming " she try to tell him put he was flanging himself around while she hold him,
" you kids fighting ?" Markus ask
Jeremy stand up straight smirking as he and his sister shake head,"no dad " they both said
"Get in the car " he told them pressing the button on his key ring after the sounds made they could open the door , Molly let  Jeremy ride up front for after they drop him off she could always sit up next to him , they were silent for a little  "dad were you and mom kissing? ’
Molly didn't miss her father eyes on her through the rearview mirror and hang her head some how he  wasn't up to talking about that for he didn't answer.
Once at Jeremy's school molly climb in next to her dad he was quiet most of the ride he stop before reaching school road molly heard him sigh then look at her " honey how about you skip school and spend the day with daddy? "
"Dad!?" Molly turn questioning eyes to her dad wondering if he was really saying that, Molly never miss school before when she's to be in school her mother won't approve at all.
"But dad mom will have me cooked"
Markus smile "daddy never ask for much now I'm begging"
"Alright daddy " she agree with a smile her father start the car and with in two seconds they were heading out of town "so dad where are we going?" Molly ask
" you will see " Markus told her
Randy search the entire school for Molly and ask around but no one seen her  "have you seen Molly" both Randy and Anna Kay ask each other when they meet for lunch Molly never miss out on school her friends were starting to get worried right after school end's she called molly
"Where are you ?" She ask when Molly answer the phone instead of her telling them she was feeling sick and stayed home " I'm chilling in the sun at sun valley resort drinking peanut punch eating burger and having fun with my dad"
"Your dad ?" Jessica ask Molly was now a wear she was on speaker and all the others were there
" couldn't you at least call?" Randy ask feeling left out "do have a phone now and you have our number, don't you?"
"Sorry randy but dad ask so suddenly he surprise me when I wasn't expecting it"
" Honey how about a boat ride ?" Markus ask
"Got to go can I call later?"
"Alright " they answered before she cut the line they hear her call out
"OK daddy wait up for me!"
"Told you Molly's dad was hot" Jessica remarks.
  Giggling childishly when the others look at her.
