Ashanna notched an arrow and glanced at the tree that was yards upon yards in front of her.

This one will be Cersei.

She narrowed her eyes and imagined the queen was standing there instead of the tree.
She loosed.
Embedding the arrow where Cersei's forehead would've been.

"What did that tree ever do to you?" Gendry asked mockingly. Ashanna rolled her eyes as she walked to retrieve her arrow.

"How can I keep being good at shooting if I don't practice?" Ashanna asked as she reached the tree.

"Fair point but You'll blunt the arrow if you shoot it at trees." Gendry points out.
Ashanna griped the arrow and attempted to take it out of the bark. It didn't move an inch. Gendry folded his arms and watched her in amusement.

"Will you?" Ashanna asked motioning to the arrow. Gendry sighed before taking the arrow out of the tree on his first attempt.

"You'd be dead by now if this was real." Gendry said as he handed back the arrow.

"That would devastate you." Ashanna pouted. Gendry laughed at her display.

"Weirdly enough, it would. If you died who'd annoy me to death?" Gendry asked teasingly.

"My sister?" Ashanna suggested.

"Hmm the red head? Now there's a woman." Gendry said jokingly. Ashanna pretended to look offended before swiping at him with her hand. He caught her hand easily and held it in his grasp.

"She's not you though." He said softly while gazing into her grey eyes.

Ashanna felt herself blushing.

"I'm promised to another.." Ashanna trailed off.

"Do you love him?" Gendry asked shortly.

"It's hard to love someone you don't know." Ashanna admitted as she started to walk back to their new camp.

"Have you even met him?" Gendry asked. Ashanna didn't turn around as she gathered the rest of her arrows.

"A few times.." she said quietly.

"I bet he likes you." He said teasingly. Ashanna rolled her eyes again.

"Why the sudden interest in Jojen Reed? Maybe you two should get married instead." Ashanna quipped. Gendry raised an eyebrow.

"I want to know what he's like.. and if you'll be safe."  Gendry said softly.

"Your concern is unneeded but appreciated." Ashanna said gratefully before turning back towards the camp.

Ashanna froze her fingers twitched uncontrollably until they went numb..
And her bow and arrows fell from her grasp.
Her body felt weak.. her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she found herself falling..
Falling..
Falling into someone's arms.

Her sight left the woods and entered her vision.

She stood among the bodies of her campaigns.
Ashanna's face remained emotionless as she scanned the faces of the men.
No Arya,
No Gendry,
No Hotpie.

Her friends wouldn't die in the massacre to come..
her thought was cut short when she saw the body of Yoren.

The Nights watch takes no part in the wars of westeros.. no sides.

Then who did this. That's when she saw it. The Lannister banner trampled into the dirt.

The lions were coming for them..
