"Three, two, one, GO!"
Purple sparks exploded into the air as Nikita disappeared, her eyes fixated on the platform they had created in the treetops. Stray laughed. Nikita had reappeared- on the roof.
"More practice?" She suggested, amusement still showing on her face.
"Oh for Notch's sake! Aiming is so difficult!"
The two girls flopped down onto the thick green grass next to each other. After a few seconds of watching the clouds, Stray propped herself up on her arm.
"What's it like? To teleport, I mean."
Nikita grinned.
"Want to see?"
Grabbing Stray's arm, she jumped to her feet. Stray stumbled in surprise, but before she could hit the ground the whole world evaporated into specks of purple and was whisked away. She floated weightlessly for a second, before the world came came rushing back and she crashed down on the wooden floor of her house. Nikita fell down beside her, panting but smiling.
"How was that?"
Stray's eyes were wide with awe at what had just happened.
"Amazing!"
As they stood up, giggling, they froze as they heard a sharp knock on the door. Nikita's eyes immediately turned darker, and ender particles floated off her.
"They're here! Oh Notch how did they find me already! How?"
Stray looked at Nikita, confusion clear on her face.
"Nikita, they're probably just miners or something looking to sell to us."
"No, it's them. I can feel it."
Stray sighed.
"How about I go answer the door and you stay here then."
She nodded and sat down in the corner, trying to calm her nerves.
Opening the door, Stray only just stopped herself from gasping in surprise. Standing outside were at least ten soldiers, all fitted with full iron armour and swords. The leader was a tall man with coal-black hair and a diamond sword sheathed to his belt. He stuck out a hand for her to shake.
"I'm Ash. It would be in your best interests to co-operate with us."
Stray gulped and shook his hand.
"What do you want?"
Ash barged past her into the house.
"We're looking for an endergirl."
