Summary: Natsu disappeared randomly for seven years and everybody in Fairy Tail assumed he was dead until he made a surprise appearance. (Btw the year is 800).

~Seven Years Ago~

Natsu walked into the guild smiling as always as he approached his favorite blond in the whole world. "Hey Luce!" He said waving his hand at her. She smiled just as big as he did waving back at him. "Hi Natsu, how've you been?" She asked as he sat down beside her.

Lately they've been getting close especially after the Alvarez War. They'd go on more missions together, spend more alone time together, and sometimes would even decline get togethers when their friends would ask them if they wanted to go out, even Happy!

Natsu rested his head on her shoulder. "I'm going on a mission in the mountains tonight, and I won't be back for a little while." He said. Her smile immediately faltered when he said those words. "You're leaving without me?" She asked with sad eyes. He frowned slightly. He always hated when Lucy was upset.

"Don't worry everybody at the guild and Happy will keep you busy! I promise I'll be back in no time, okay?" He said patting her back a bit more roughly than he should. She wanted to believe him, but could you blame her? He left her for a full year before. She sighed.

"You promise you'll be back?" She said with a stern glance. He giggled and wrapped his arms around her. "Would I lie to you?" Lucy made an irritated face. "Yes, matter of fact you do it quite often." Lucy said folding her arms. Natsu blushed. "Well this time I'm not going anywhere." Natsu said with determination.

"Awe look at the happy couple." Cana said drinking out of a bottle. "They lllliiiikkkeeee each other." Happy added. Both of them blushed furiously. "It's not like that!" They said in unison.

Later in the evening, Natsu was gathering all his things and made sure to stop by Lucy's house before departing. He entered the window as always to find her fast asleep in her bed. He smiled and blushed lightly at the sight of her in peaceful slumber. He was gonna miss that for sure. He shook her gently to wake her up.

She groaned and stretched her arms. "Natsu, is that you?" She said wiping her eyes from sleepiness. "Yeah Lucy it's me." He sat down on the bed beside her. "Are you about to go?" She asked as she wrapped her arms around her legs. He nodded. "Yep the moment I leave your house I'll be gone." He said.

"Don't be gone too long, alright? I'd miss you." She said blushing in embarrassment. He wrapped her in his arms in a tight hug resting his head in the crook of her neck. "I promised we'd be together forever didn't I?" Natsu said. She embraced him just as hard. "Yeah..."

"Then have faith in me." He said. Lucy began tearing up. "Okay Natsu." They stayed like that for a little while until Lucy kissed his cheek causing him to blush madly. "Wh-What was that for?" He asked. Lucy chuckled at his bashfulness. "Have a nice trip Natsu." She responded. "I'll be back soon." He kept reassuring her.

He released her automatically missing her touch. She was making it harder to leave. "I have to go before the sun goes down." He said. "I'll be waiting for you when you get back." She said. He reached over to her face and pecked her cheek like she did earlier causing her to blush as red as Erza's hair.
