Chapter 9

Now that I have two days, apt planning can be the result to outwit those guards.

I have to observe their steps to get a precise way to make a move accordingly. I sat by the window for scruitinization.

There are 10 guards. At different positions. After narrowing my eyes to observe the number of guards at the far sight. 2 stood real far. Each 2 guards move simultaneously in opposite directions. When one guard is walking towards the end of the field the other came walking in front of a tree right opposite this window while he turns back to his path other marched in front of a tree. This is gonna be too hard.

This way one or the other might catch an eye on me.

I anticipated that the perfect time to escape is neverthless at night.
Tonights' the night, I'm gonna fly so high.

I was tapping my foot impatiently. It was 11:30 now. Most probably the guards can be less vigilant and more sleepy at this point of time. They would even think that I am asleep.

I went to my room, grabbed a candle lit it and kept it on the table near the window. I did not open the night lamp or the guards might think I am awake seeing the light from the window. Searched for the flash light and I got one. Quickly rushed to the kitchen downstairs and took a long kitchen wiper just in case anyone catches me it can come handy. I took mini flashlight to guide myself all the way.

I walked to the door. Flashing the light on the keypad I typed the code 1-4-7-0. "Ready.....Get.....Set....Go! What?? I did it!! Yeah! Yess!! Yesss!" I rolled the door knob open.. And it did open.

Today I feel like I am blessed with all the luck. Yippie! I was all head over heels being out after a very, very long time.

Now its time for the real game. I stepped out and walked forward.
It was quite dark, I could hardly see any guards.

I raced towards a tree in front of me. I suddenly heard footsteps. Damn! Two guards are coming here. I saw them coming right here and just hid by the bushes near the tree. One guard from either side came towards the tree and turned to walk back. While other was marching here. I crawled towards the other bushes. There is a huge gap for the next bush. Like almost 50 steps. Anyone can see me walking or even running from here to there.

I saw a tree right beside the bush where I was hiding. Ah! I have to climb this tree. May be hanging to its branch can lead me to the bushes on the other side. I stood up as soon as the guard came I quickly sat hiding by the bush again. As soon as he turned back and the other guard was about to come I climbed up the tree and tied my hands and legs to its branch. As soon as the guard left I hanged my legs in the air while my hands were still tied and I started moving. After a while I reached there and now it was time to reach the gate but seeing two guards already standing there I looked for another way to get away from here. Even the walls were quite high to climb. Gates are too short, if by anyway I reach there I can easily climb through the gates to the other side. The wiper was all I had. But it does not seem to be of any use.
Cold sweats were all over my body. I was shivering.

Suddenly I heard an alarm. All the guards started running towards the house. I was afraid, if they don't find me there. The guards near the gate even rushed towards the house yelling,
"There's fire! Its a fire alarm."

Standing there I was still wondering what exactly is happening.

I looked at the gate there were no guards. I jumped cheerfully and ran towards the gate slided the wiper slowly to the other side and quickly climbed through the gate without wasting any second.

Hooray! I won! Yesssss! I did it!!

I ran towards the pathway but little later I ended up as there was no pathway. It was just the sand or the grass. I was surrounded by the trees. In that pitch dark, all I have was a flashlight, a wiper and the moonlight. I assured to myself that I am in middle of the forest after hearing all the strange and creepy voices.

I soon heard the dog bark. But with all the courage I walked further. I got very afraid. After a little while I heard a bat screech. I still walked further.
I then heard a roar just couldn't hold myself anylonger I ran from there back to the house. Without stopping for even a moment.

Its lot better to stay a captive. I wish to be served with food but not as food. I can tackle with disguise of Monster but not with the real monsters.

When I returned, I saw all the lights open. As I walked all the guards looked at me but stood still. I walked to the door with my head down and eyes sticked to the ground and I climbed the steps. When my head bumped to the hard thing. Not as hard as rod but like a hard pillow but after seeing the shoes and legs I realised I bumped a man with hard chest. Still keeping my face down I moved my eyes upward to see who it was.

Oh shit! Damnit!! What is he doing here so soon?

"You!! What are you doing here?" I asked confusingly. Tapping the wiper hard on the ground.

"Excuse me?" He asked with a stern look on his face.
