CHAPTER 21

NINAS POV

Jack and I are finally back from Italy. I have to say that I really enjoyed the trip and helped cleared my mind which was great. Jack is currently in New York so I am hanging with Candice tonight which I am looking forward to quite a bit as I haven't seen her a lot lately because of the baby.

At the moment I am watching Gilmore Girls but I do feel like going shopping because I haven't been lately and I also need to get some exercise so that's what I decided to do. When I get into the car I play 'Despacito' very loud and sing along.

When I get to the shops I decided to go and look at some homewares as my house needs some sprucing up. As I am walking around I see someone who is a spitting image of Nikki so I try not to stare but we accidentally make eye and she approaches me with a huge smile.

"Hi, you must be Nina" says Nikki in a kind voice

"And you must be the famous Nikki that Ian always talks to me about" I say with a smile and Nikki laughs

"Ian told me that you went to Italy not so long ago, am I correct?"

"Yes you are" I respond

"How was it?" Nikki asks politely

"It was really great"

"Well, that's good to hear. Oh I have an Idea we should catch up some time with Ian of course and you can tell us all about it" Nikki says while beaming a smile

"That would be great actually, I will text Ian when I am free and we can organise something then" I say

"Okay cool, well it was nice meeting you" Nikki says while giving me a hug

"You too, bye" I say

Well that was a bit awkward I say to myself but I have to admit she is nice and I can see what Ian sees in her.

At about 6:30 I left the house so I could meet Candice for dinner and I am wearing a shirt dress and a pair of nude flats. We are going to this burger place that just recently opened near Candice's house which seems fun

When I arrive at the restaurant I see that Candice is already here and she stand to greet me

"Hey girlfriend" Candice says while she squeezes me in a huge hug

"Hey Candice" I say while sitting down

"How has everything been going with you and Jack?" Candice asks

"Everything has been great, how is the baby?"

"Florence is great, she is starting to walk which is very exciting"

"Omg you won't guess who I say today" I say

"Who?"

"Nikki"

"Ian's Nikki?"

"Nah duh" I say with a laugh

"Did she say anything to you?" Candice asks in excitement

"Yeah, she just asked me how my trip was and told me that we should catch up"

"Well that's boring but how are you?" Candice asks seriously

"I am really happy and everything is the way it should be" I say happily

"You deserve it girl"

And I am telling the truth, I am happy.
