CHAPTER 22

NINAS POV (AGAIN LOL)

I awake to a buzzing sound and see that I have a message from an unknown number. That's weird  I think and the message reads

Unknown: Hi Nina, it's me

I contemplate on whether I should reply and after about 5 minutes I do

Nina: Who are you?

The person replies instantly with

Unknown: Do you not remember me?

Nina: I need a name because I honestly have no clue who you are

Unknown: It's Madison

Madison. Why would she be messaging me because she knows what she did to me was unforgivable and she knows it but I don't let my thoughts get in the way

Nina: What do you want Madison?

Madison: I don't want anything, I just wanted to talk to you

Nina: Well I don't want to talk to you so, goodbye

After that, I block her number and go back to sleep because I am exhausted. Damn jetlag.

Today Jack is coming back from New York and I am overly excited since I haven't spoken to him in a few days because he has been busy. Jacks flight comes in at 1:30 pm so I decided to go and surprise him by picking him up from the airport.

When I arrive at the airport I see that Jacks flight has already landed so I make my way over to the gate that the plane is at (lol). When I get to the gate I see jack walking out of the gate so I run over to him and give him a huge hug

"Hey Nina," Jack says while giving me a kiss on the cheek

"Hey Jack," I say  happily as we begin to walk to baggage claim

"How was your trip?" I aks politely

"It was pretty good but I was pretty busy that why I didn't have time to call you and I am sorry about that" Jack says while he looks at me 

"Hey it's okay and I understand what it means to be busy," I say with a small laugh

When we get into the car I decided to tell Jack about what had happened with Madison

"Madison messaged me today"

"Lol, what did she have to say?" Jack says while laughing

"She said that she just wanted to talk and that she didn't want anything from me"

"What did you do then?" Jack asks curiously

"I said that I didn't want to talk to her and then I blocked her number," I said and Jack just nodded 

Something seemed odd with Jacks behaviour but I couldn't put my finger on It so I decided to ask

"Is something wrong Jack?" I asked 

"No, I'm just thinking" He responded. Lies. 

"Well, if you want to say something you can?" I said a bit annoyed 

"But I have nothing to say," Jack said in a confused tone

"Okay," I said bluntly but I could just tell that something was bothering him.
