“I don’t like the idea of them having a baby and not being married Sophia.” The man’s brows furrowed over his deep set chocolate eyes.
Mark you know that Angelina won’t change her mind about this. She has that stubborn streak that we have failed to break out of her.” Sophia replied as she looked at her reflection on the back of a silver spoon she was shining up.
“We can’t get rid of something that flows through her veins. It’s a streak she gets from you.” Mark replied. Sophia scoffed and continued to shine the silverware. A shocked squeak caused both of them to look towards the kitchen door.
“Mistress is doing Lulu’s job. Mistress is unhappy with Lulu!” The ears of the house elf, who was wearing a pretty floral sack, fell and tears filled her large green orb like eyes. Sophia immediately dropped the spoon she was holding and rushed across the rather large kitchen to grab hold of the she was holding and rushed across the rather large kitchen to grab hold of the house elf before she inflicted any harm on herself.
“Lulu no!” She shouted as the elf started banging her head on the edge of the marble counter. Sophia was beaten to the elf by her son
Jason, who lift the elf off her feet and held her up in front of him so he could look her in the face.
“Lulu, I just got back from quidditch and my room is messy and smelly and we’re having guests over in a few hours, can you clean that up for me?” he asked looking kindly at the elf who nodded vigorously.
“Master is too kind. Lulu go now.” Lulu said looking adoringly at Angelina’s older brother Mark. He winked at his mom and the house elf disappeared from his arms with a pop.
“Mum, this is the second time this week that you have reduced poor Lulu to tears. You’re cleaning like a bad woman, what’s wrong?” Jason moved across the kitchen to join his parents at the island.
“She is as disappointed with your sister as I am. She refuses to get married before the baby is born.” Jason rolled his eyes and draped an arm around each parent.
“Angelina has been of age for three years now. She can make her own decisions. Besides, what’s the difference if she gets married before or after the baby is born?”
“Tradition Jason!”Sophia said moving away.
“That’s right. The Johnsons are a traditional family.”
“Dad don’t start. Lina will not like this traditional talk at her baby shower.” Sophia and Mark both sighed. They had decided to host Angelina’s baby shower because they hadn’t seen her in months and pregnant and unmarried or not, they loved their daughter and missed her. They weren’t even upset about becoming grandparents; they just didn’t expect their baby to be having a baby this soon.
“I’m going upstairs to shower and get ready. The guests should be arriving soon.” Jason kissed his mother on her forehead and pats his dad on the back then left the kitchen.
“You’re nervous about this aren’t you?” Angelina asked George as he paced the room running his hand through his hair.
“Me? Nah I’m just wondering if my parents are there yet. I mean, the baby shower starts soon.” Angelina continued to look knowingly at him.
“Does he still remember Fred and I setting his shed on fire?” he asked nervously. Angelina laughed and shook her head.
“George we were thirteen years old.” George sighed in relief.
“Now that crater that you both left in the back yard in our fourth year, he hasn’t gotten over that.” Angelina laughed as George glared at her.
